My 280 has yet to fail. I've put a lot (A LOT!) of rounds through it and it just keeps on going. It's also extremely accurate and well balanced. This summer it gave me a "perfect" 495/500 score on a local club match with 50 shots of 25m precision. This is a pistol I truly trust! It always ...

I know, but still. It's not like he did it at his local gunrange with no pressure upon him. :)

If I can't fix it within a couple of seconds I will re-take it all. No point in having your concentration on fixing a problem rather than making a hole in that sweet little spot that gives you ten more points in the results list.

The SSP I tried this summer was for sale already (I bet he didn't own the gun very long). It didn't malfunktion but it threw the shells all over the place! Got one in the face... I really don't like the feeling of the trigger. Feels like a cheap plastic piece and the trigger action is "too cris...

My 280 .22lr is as accurate as a .22lr will get. With the right ammo it will make a -4mm grouping (center-to-center) at 25 meters. And it will never malfunction! I've fired a lot of shots with it and it has never ever malfunctioned except for the use of bad ammo. My 280 .32 is extremely accurate wit...

I'm almost 100% sure that the AP40 has an absorber.

They are interchangable. I have a 280 and some of the members in my club have SP20 and we can use each others magazines without any trouble. Actually they look exactly the same and I think they in fact ARE exactly the same. :)
Both .22lr and .32 will work.

I feel the difference between an AP40 with and without the holes along the barrel (not the compensator). First I thought it was becuase the steel barrel with the holes was heavier (100g) but when I put a 100g barrelweight on my aluminium barrel there was still a slight difference in feeling.

Re: Wrist Weights

Hi, I'm using a Steyr LP2 (what's it's weight, by the way?). 875g. I have a Hammerli AP40 which weighs about 950g, and I find it a little on the heavy side, so I've been looking into buying a lighter weight pistol. The Hammerli junior weighs in at 825g, and the Steyr Compact at 725g. Heavy?! I thin...

This is an interesting topic since I myself shoot pretty much anything I come over. Although I only practice FP, AP and 25m Centerfire I compete i numerous disciplines, some only found here in Sweden. I think it's possible to be fairly successfull in just about anything with just plenty of quality t...
