Re: You wanna buy WHAT?

Does "just did" count as "would"? ;) Just ordered a P8X as my first AP, as I grew tired of mucking with club's ones..

Re: Thread on the rod included with Pardini SP/HP?

Oh, I know what it is. It's 1/8" x 40 BSW . In fact, I bet it's this brush, or something very much like it: https://www.erzinger.ch/produkt/laufreiniger-2/ Ding-ding-ding! We have a winner! :) It indeed was the 1/8" x 40 BSW. I got a tap, ran it through the Hoppes 5/40 to 8/32 f2f adapter...

Re: Thread on the rod included with Pardini SP/HP?

For those of you following this riveting thread at home, I got a reply from the local Pardini importer, quoting verbatim: "The Pardini cleaning rods are a metric thread as they are made somewhere in the EU." I'm not sure this helped much. :) Anyway, the next step is this saga is to try if ...

Re: Thread on the rod included with Pardini SP/HP?

Why not just use a rod that fits your brushes? I’d guess that you already have one I do use a different rod when I'm at home. This one is just foldable / portable and has a its own convenient spot inside the original gun box. I occasionally use it when I'm away. It happens not very often but very h...

Local importer is not very friendly to calls for info.. As for Pardini HQ, I tried sending them questions in the past and never got any answers. :(

Re: Thread on the rod included with Pardini SP/HP?

I'll check with the 0.6mm gauge tomorrow, but I'm pretty sure I tried the metric gauges and none fit better than the 40tpi Imperial and Whitworth.

Re: ISSF Ammunition Rules

Given the floor for service pistol PF loads is 120 - and they're fairly loud by local standards, I think a limit of 110 would be reasonable for ISSF Centrefire on an enclosed range. My WA1500 9mm loads are 112, with a little more effort they could be 110 so it can be done. Aren't heavier projectile...

Re: Thread on the rod included with Pardini SP/HP?

The OD of the threaded part measures precisely 0.12" / 3.05mm. I can see the "T" ("HOLTZ") in this table that matches, but the rod is very clearly not 55tpi. The pitch matches 40tpi gauge closely, but not in the shape of the teeth - gauge's teeth don't go into the rod's thre...

Thread on the rod included with Pardini SP/HP?

Does anyone know what thread is on the smaller diameter end of the cleaning rod that comes in the box with Pardini SP+HP? It almost but not quite fits the 40tpi gauge, its OD is around 3mm / 0.12", but it isn't 5/40 nor it is M3/0.5. I can't get any decent fit with neither metric, imperial, nor...

Re: FYI: Problems with Recent CCI Ammunition

Another experience with the CCI light vs. dark blue box here. I was shooting the dark blue CCI from 3 different guns with no problems - S&W Model 41 made in late 90s, a brand-new Walther PPQ M2, and a 1959 Colt Woodsman Match Target (mk3). However once the new light-blue boxes have come out, I s...
