Re: Silver
Yes I agree, she did fantastic in both air rifle and SB. Wonder what happened to Mary Tucker? Going in I was pretty confident she could medal in one or both disciplines.

Anschutz Sight Riser
I recently placed an Anschutz 8mm riser under my Anschutz 7020 rear sight on my 1907. This afforded me a much more comfortable head position and improved line of sight. However, it drastically changes the point of impact at 50 meters. I actually have a difficult time re-sighting the rifle. Does the ...

Re: RWS R50 Ammo?
Hi. Does anyone happen to know the name of the person in overall charge of Anschutz North America in AL and possibly know his email address?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Anschutz 1761 Bolt
I have owned a new Anschutz 1761 SB rifle since July and have several hundred rounds through it. In general I really like the rifle; extremely accurate and superb trigger. However, I do have one issue. The bolt is exceedingly difficult to close once a new round is clambered, takes an unusual amount ...

Front Iris
Need a little guidance. I want to put a Centra front sight iris on my Anschutz M18 sight. Have never used an iris on the front. Not sure what range of aperture sizes to get, they are available in as small as 1.8mm up to 5.9mm. I shoot prone only. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Anschutz 1903
Yep. I looked into both. I do not believe Tanner continues to produce a SB 3 position rifle as they seem to have shifted their efforts to center fire competition. There is no US distribution of the Reider & Lanz. If I were back in my 20's and serious about the sport I would just dive into the de...

Re: Anschutz 1903
Yes, agreed. With the exception of the very difficult to obtain in the US Tanner and Reider & Lenz, the only wooden stock available is the FWB 2800. It pains me to say but the 1907 is probably a bit of a dinosaur.

Re: Anschutz 1903
With regards to the demise of the 1903, I have to wonder if the continuation of the 1907 is now imperiled. As I'm sure is known, the 1907 was developed by Anschutz in I believe the 1970's to be used in the "Standard Rifle' discipline of ISU competition. Neither lasted long. Standard rifle is ex...

Anschutz 1903
Just heard today from a reliable source that Anschutz has discontinued production of the 1903. If true, that almost completely eliminates a solid, entry level , affordable rifle for SB competition. Even the least expensive models of FWB, Walther, or even Anschutz are considerably more expensive that...

Re: International firearm purchase question
Please see my post of August 25,2022 under Olympic Rifle, Re; Krale. I had exactly the same concerns you do regarding rifle importation. To summarize, the process is indeed possible but it is complicated, lengthy, and expensive. Hope this helps.

Re: Krale
John - thanks for your post. All along I have had the nagging sense that importing a rifle into the US from Europe wasn't quite as easy as advertised. The very complimentary posts regarding Krale customer service are no doubt true, but they are all from purchasers of air guns, a completely different...

Krale
Has anyone ever purchased a SB rifle or done other business with Krale in The Netherlands? I came across them while taking a look on the internet at prices of the FWB 2800. Their price is considerably lower than any other distributor. Actually, price differential makes me a little bit nervous. I ema...

Re: uncalled rules violations??
I was involved in SB 3P and prone for many years and enjoy watching ISSF matches on YouTube. I must say however, over the past year or so I have become a bit disillusioned; many of these athletes are clearly cheating. Headwear touching rear sight, palm rest touching arm or chest, wearable electronic...

Re: Cheating at Tokyo Olympics!
She is clearly cheating. Not sure what the official is not seeing. When I started shooting SB prone matches there were a few shooters who would gradually extend their elbow so that, eventually, the rifle was essentially laying on the ground. They never seemed to be called out and was a source of fr...

Good call, thanks. Have to admit that is a rifle I am unfamiliar with. The Swiss certainly are adept at making the highest quality target rifles.

What Rifle?
Was watching ISSF European Championships going on today in Croatia on YouTube, Junior Women's 3P SB. If anyone else has watched the video can you opine as to what rifle Jennifer Kocher in lane D of Switzerland is shooting? I saw the wood stock and, as she is Swiss, I initially thought it was a Tanne...
