MEC Spy
Hi everyone,
My 3 years old MEC Spy's clicks now are not as smooth as they used to be, specially the vertical ones.
Any pointers for the proper maintenance? I guess it would appreciate some oil, but I do not want to take it apart and not being able to put it back it together again...

Re: Rear sight shifted too far to one side
I have an 800X... The stock adjustments are incorrect for you. If you have the sights all the way down and your head is leaning a bit to the right, you run out of right sight adjustment to align your head. Move the sights up. there are 4 levels of height adjustment. After your head is standing up, ...

Re: Rear sight shifted too far to one side
also by moving it further out it increases the need for further sight correction. in theory to prevent this you would need to rotate the tube a couple mm (in your case to the left) when you extend it further out Today I made some test at the range. There is kind of a rail for the screws. It allows ...

Re: Rear sight shifted too far to one side
Thanks Tim. What do you mean by "vertical"? It is a Feinwerkbau 800x and the tube can be extended but I have it as far back as possible. I have noticed that when moving it forward or backward it has a slight rotation clearance and if I extend it forward the problem gets worse, so maybe th...

Rear sight shifted too far to one side
Hi everyone, I have a problem with the rear sight on my air rifle. I know it's not the fault of the rear sight itself because I recently changed it and I have the same problem as with the old one. Both the rear sight and the front sight are in the same position with respect to the center of the barr...

Re: Glasses vs monocle
Don't get me wrong, I have been in contact with an eye doctor for all my life and using proper prescription glasses. I am looking now for options because they fog up due to the mask.

Re: Glasses vs monocle
That's a good point. My eyesight is not that bad, but now I feel the need to check if I can see the scores in the monitor without glasses. If I couldn't, I definitely would go for a pair of glasses instead of a monocle.

Glasses vs monocle
Hi, I am an air rifle shooter in his late forties that is back in the sport after 30 years and I fear that my sight is not the same it was when I was a teenager. While I am using my normal prescription glasses for shooting, using a mask to prevent COVID causes my glasses to fog up all the time, so I...
