Hi Fred

You're absolutely right and I should know better than attempt to confuse poor old Bob (hope this isn't taken as patronising). It is just my wicked sense of humour that often gets the better of me ;-)

Bet I won't get a mention in his will now ;-)

Hi

If you had your pistol from new then it would have come with two rear sight back plates each with two different sized notches plus three front sight posts again of varying widths. This gives you 12 possible arrangements to play around with.

AP shooter gets abrupt warning

Sorry but I may have misled the readers that this was under ISSF rules. The incident I referred to above occurred at an ex WWII RAF military firearm range until of late recently approved by the UK Home Office. Having a high brick walled backstop and in filled with correctly raked sand and well-demar...

Courses for horses

Hi The above topic and comments are very interesting and food for thought. I think you have to be open-minded not be put off by experimenting and revisiting old ground whether a veteran or a newbie. Through empiricism establish which suits you within the rules of that particular discipline. Simply p...

Izzy trigger pull weight screw is killing my ...

Hi The trigger pull weight adjuster screw is killing my middle finger, as it is proud of the finger rest slot. Having noted that there is at least one other user on here with the same problem, philipnow, I was wondering how many others suffer from this very annoying problem. I have taped over the sc...

lost seals

Welcome to TT and the pleasures of self-enlightenment re the Izzy. It is possible that after cocking if you inadvertently failed to lock down the bolt, then upon firing, the bolt seals would blow off. This happened to me only once and it won't happen again as it took nearly two hours to find those e...

Izzy Grip just keeps on growing

A friend has just alerted me to http://www.network54.com/Forum/79537/message/1170215470/ultracarbines+by+DaveG Amazing what a bit of wood, sandpaper and elbow grease can end up as, if one is a tad unhappy with the original Izzy grip. Do you think one could casually get away with this in a 10M AP60 m...

I would agree that you should not tamper with any of the trigger settings until you are completely familiar with each aspect of the mechanics and how they interrelate. The factory setting is generally suitable for most users. I purchased my Izzy and it misfired several times during the first few day...

Target longevity

Hi Rob

They are better than expected. As for longevity I reckon if I don't over do it and take it real easy, say 3 targets per week at 10 shots each should last about 20 years and 30,000 pellets ;-) he he.

Kruger Target Query

Hi All It's that time when my poor old brain needs a caffein boost, which I also know isn't good for a steady hold. Meanwhile can anyone please let me how the column in the top right of this type of target is used? I presume it is for scoring purposes, maybe or something else? Cheers Torn Fibre - no...
