Re: MSU Demmer center - is it gone ?
The Demmer Center is open. Unfortunately it is listed as an archery center and firearms aren't mentioned. New website; https://ipf.msu.edu/demmer-shooting-sports-and-education-center Additionally, it is still listed on the USA Shooting website as a training center. I guess USA Shooting doesn't do i...

Post Insert for 22mm sights
Simple question. Does anyone make a Blade style front insert for a 22mm front sight tunnel? I can find the 18mm ones all day, but nothing in 22.
I want to shoot my centerfire prone rifle out to 600 on some man shaped steel targets targets and I much prefer a blade front sight for that application.

Re: weight training effect on hold?
I weight train fairly regularly. Day after lifting, especially chest and arm day my hold is useless. If you're trying to shoot top scores you have to let yourself recover before you pick up and air pistol. In the long run though, as long as you're staying flexible and keeping your range of motion up...

Looks like she was at it again during the mixed air gun final as well. Why even have the rules?

Re: Brand New to 10m - Which Rifle
Of those I could go with the Walther or FWB because you're going to get the most adjustability. Though if it were me, I would go for the 9015 Anschutz ONE 3 Position. Though I am biased because I have one an absolutely love it. Cannot say enough good things. The action would be right at home in an O...

No Anschutz in the 10m Air Final
Didn't see any Anschutz up there on the 10m Men's air rifle final. Any reason the Steyr and the Walther seem to be preferred? Just curious

Re: Bullseye Competition Shooting
Can't really help you on ranges in Atlanta. I think NRA Bullseye is still a thing, but from what I hear the NRA governed competitions have become kind of a SNAFU management wise. They're really not doing themselves any favors as of late. I can say if you're somewhat interested in Bullseye, look into...

Re: Aluminum pellets
Zinc can be a problem when heating / casting with it. Be careful in that respect. Hot working with Zinc or brass can produce zinc fumes and produce the Metal Fume Fever. Other metals can produce it too but Zinc is one of the most notorious because of its very low boiling point and high tendency to v...

Re: Scatt Basic thoughts
It depends on what you're trying to do. If you're just trying to keep the trigger time up and keep her shooting, having a 10m air gun range at home and practicing 3 position air gun would be a good and inexpensive supplement to live fire small bore if she wants to go that route. That is if she owns ...

Re: Steyr LP50 Questions
I have a new LP-50 Standard, Compact on the way from our wonderful Forum Sponsor! This is my first time dealing with Pilk and I must say the people there are great to deal with and patiently answered all my questions. Happy to do business with them. Thank you everyone who took the time to answer my ...

Re: Smallbore Competition Rifle? (.22LR)
I competed successfully in college and had a very similar beginning to you. I saw my school had a rifle team via a flyer on the wall and emailed them within 20 minutes. Shooting most of my life, naturally talented, but no experience with "space guns", olympic small-bore or air rifle, and n...

What is the velocity range achievable on the standard and HP versions?
Are the trigger springs user swappable?

Steyr LP50 Questions
For the LP50 owners out there. I am considering picking one up so I can shoot air pistol at home to make up for the lack of other handgun practice due to ammunition availability. I would likely do some one handed ISSF style 10m bullseye shooting as well as some two handed "rapid fire" on m...

Re: What gloves are you all using?
My glove is about 2 years old at this point so it may just be compressed past its point of usefulness. The 30 dollar CC ones never held up the best for me. Thanks for the advice on the hand stop though, Ill have to disassemble it and give it a go. It probably doesn't help that I have fairly small ha...

What gloves are you all using?
Subject says it all, what gloves is everyone using for 3P and for prone? Do any of you use a different glove for prone? I started on the Champions Choice delux summer glove, but I am finding it is too thin to adequately pad my hand for 60 rounds of prone. I find my fingers are pretty numb by the end...
