Re: Pellets-EU
If you've imported before then just ignore this. If not then just in case you weren't aware, you'll need to fill in a form to apply for an import licence. It's available here and can be done online, there's no cost. https://www.gov.ie/en/service/c9331-import-firearms/?referrer=http://www.justice.ie/...

Re: Suggestions for Airline Rifle Cases
I went to Camp Perry this summer for a shooting holiday and needed a decent case for flying with. I bought a Peli IM3300 and it did the job just fine, I put four TSA padlocks on it to secure it. Whatever you get, I very highly recommend making sure it has wheels on it. The wheels were a godsend whil...

Re: Krale
I'm in Europe so I don't have any import restrictions to worry about so not in your situation. However I have purchased online from Krale on about 5 or 6 occasions without any trouble. They're a reputable retailer so you've nothing to worry about from that perspective.

Re: Centra Spy elevation travel
Thanks Tim. I was considering this sight and wanted to see if it would fit all my means without having the added fiddling about with the front sight. I like the idea of adding forward "cant" by mismatching the front and rear elevation.

Centra Spy elevation travel
Hi all, I know this is a "how long is a piece of string" type question but....has anyone used a Centra Spy rear sight to shoot from 25 yards out as far as 100 yards (or even better 100 metres) ? I'm wondering if it can be done with this sight without having to resort to adjusting the heigh...

Re: KK500 Blacktec
I have one. It's my first target rifle and I'm not the best shot so I'm not in a situation to give much of a review of it. The way I saw it prior to buying was pretty much as you summed up yourself - cheaper/lass adaptable stock with the KK500 business end. I reckoned as a beginner I wouldn't make t...

Re: New Anschutz A22 MAX Design Study
Try this link: https://www.instagram.com/p/Carst7WgCmu/ Once you click the link, a video opens that shows a shot that sweeps from the butt stock to the muzzle. On that video there's a little right arrow (triangle) that scrolls you onto a second video. This shows a close up of the "bolt" in...

New Anschutz A22 MAX Design Study
https://www.instagram.com/p/Cartcc1AQSA/ https://www.instagram.com/anschuetzgmbh/ I don't have an Instagram account so can't see these images fully but they're of a new "design study" .22 target rifle from Anschutz shown at the IWA show in Germany. Looks like they've brought the breech cl...

That's looks gorgeous from the hand grip forward. The buttstock looks like an earwig's bum however.

Re: Walther KK500 Torque Values
I realise this is a bit of a sideline to this thread but since it's related to the action screw area of the receiver I thought I'd ask...(This is just for my own curiosity) I have the Blacktec stock model that uses the two central action screws to mount it to the stock. The Expert and Anatomic presu...

Just in case anybody is searching the topic for the Blacktec model that uses two action screws - 4.5 to 5.0Nm is what Walther recommend to me.

Re: Modified KK500?
Yes, I understood that gluing the barrel in place theoretically stresses the barrel less as there are no clamping forces involved. Neither were there any tensions stretching the barrel like in a threaded in barrel. I'd imagine these "stresses" must be very low anyway since it doesn't hurt ...

https://www.schuetzenbund.at/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/2021-05-29_em-osijek-kk-3st-w_img-peer2cmelmer-scaled.jpg Maybe the Walther factory enlists some of it's sponsored athletes to carry out R&D in competition and they require barrels that are easy to swap out. eg: They try a chamber with dif...

Modified KK500?
I was looking at images of Sergey Kamenskiy's Walther KK500 and noticed that his receiver isn't a standard KK500. Instead of the barrel being glued in, his receiver appears to have slots cut and screws counterbored in it to clamp the barrel in place. Anyone any idea why this has been done? - Faster ...

Re: Dry firing a KK500?
I just received my new KK500 Blacktec a week ago and this is a question I was going to pose here so good timing Brazos! I was wondering if the method that the person in this video uses with his KK300 would be seen as OK or not by those here with experience? He unscrews the rear "nut" on th...

Re: Anschutz, Walther, or Turbo, other?
Are the KK500s able to be switched between left and right handed? Not speaking from hands on experience but... Yes, the stocks are ambidextrous and the bolt is easily flipped around without tools. As far as I know, to get the rifle ejecting to the left you need to take the stock off and flip the ej...

Re: KK300 advice
Kind of a sidetrack yet kind of related to the OP's question about having a gunsmith install a shorter barrel perhaps: I believe Walther bonds their barrels into the receiver, does anyone know what the process is for removing the old barrel? How is the "glue" undone/de-bonded to get the ol...
