Re: Guide Rod Jamming on 45 BE pistol
Comments have all been good - thank you all.... In the meantime, I received 2 quality long slide guide rods from Wilson. Checking them out I found they are perfectly concentric between the 2 pieces and looking at them closely while unscrewing (separating) them, there is no hint they are not perfectl...

Re: Guide Rod Jamming on 45 BE pistol
Hand tighten may be the problem - but does the loosening cause the rod to jam? Your 5 inch gun is likely a bushing barrel, unlike the Bull barrel which uses a different spring plug altogether. The combination of the Bull barrel, Top Hat spring plug and out-of-center 2-piece guide rod is the combinat...

Re: Guide Rod Jamming on 45 BE pistol
Loctite may be a solution. Blue, I suppose. It is such an unusual problem (for me at least) I wondered if it was my problem only - if not, who else found the same issue and fixed it without going to a GI spring plug. As usual, there was no solution offered by the manufacturer so it is an interesting...

Re: Guide Rod Jamming on 45 BE pistol
Nope. The guide rod shows scrape marks where it jams against the spring plug. It is clearly a problem with the guide rod not being concentric and that shows up as you unscrew the 2 pieces and you can feel (and see) the lack of concentricity. Everything works fine with a GI spring plug - no matter wh...

Guide Rod Jamming on 45 BE pistol
The problem: on firing, the recoil system jams in the slide open position Issue: The 6 inch bull barrel has a top hat plug and a full length 2-piece Guide Rod. The 2 pieces apparently start to separate (minimal unscrewing) and the two pieces are not concentric so the guide rod 'captures' the spring ...

S&W 52
I used a 52 many years ago and made the seriuos mistake of selling it. BIGmistake as it was one of the best pistols for Target. WIsh they still made that WC gun at an affordable price!!! Of course, I now live in Greater Texas where precision target seems to have been replaced with the IDPA and such....

Gamo 126
One thing I did discover with this rifle is that the compression tube slot was rough enough to scar the seal when it was either inserted or when the gun was cocked. By carefully smoothing the slot edges and by making sure the cocking stroke didn't expose the seal to the slot, it resulted in less dam...

Gamo 126 Match Rifle
I know is long out of production and there were problems with the compression seal/chamber but is there any conversion or other rebuilding available for these rifles? I've found the piston seal has a tendency to get scarred if not properly installed so they leak. However, I have got two of these tha...

Trigger
Try using a small c-clamp to compress the trigger before loosening the trigger screw. Otherwise you will strip the screw head.

Phoenix Airgun
Try Airguns of Arizona - they have regular airgun matches.

Same in San Antonio
Nothing here either for similar reasons I suppose. Texans are more into bullets than pellets it seems. I can't figure out if the shooters here are more into bang and boom than pfft and splat but one does get tired of throwing large junks of lead when precision paper punching is often more satisfying...

Filler
Try mac1airgun.com - he's the co2 man. Looks like you're missing a pin, but try the man anyway. I have similar cylinders but I have filler with a pin that connects to the co2 tank and fills a number of cylinders. Buck at Pilkguns may also be able to advise you. Good luck - it looks like a simple sol...

Air Pistol in San Antonio
It seems there is a lack of airgun interest in the greater San Antonio area but as a last resort - can anyone lead me to ANY formal or informal air pistol activity here?? Doing less firearm and more air pistol these days and I would like to find any activity that focuses on bullseye 10m locally. I w...

refills
Refills are a little bit like life -- what you get out of the future depends on what you got out of the past. When the past is empty, there isn't anything left for the future. Get the SCUBA tank filled every couple of months and use a hand pump frequently to keep your aerobic fitness. Then there wil...

Grips
I'm not familiar with the fit for the grips you mention. I think it would be best to stick with Morini style as is on the 103 now to avoid more difficulty. If nothing comes up, I only need about an eighth of an inch added to the top of the palm shelf to get a snug fit. If I need to add a little Mori...

Swap Large for Medium FWB103 Grips
I have an FWB103 that I mistakenly got with a Large Morini Gripset. Before I make modifications, does anyone have a Medium set that they would trade for Large?? The grips are New and have no bruises, marks or such.
Regards all.
