Re: Grip Modifications
I had some felt pads and it worked reasonably well. When I made permanent changes in the past, I used JB Weld KWIK Wood – Wood Repair Epoxy. I came across a YouTube video that used Morini M295 Plastic Wood. One apparent advantage I saw for this product is that it doesn’t stick to the grip and can be...

Grip Modifications
I have a FWB P8X. The grip is very adjustable, but I still need to make some minor modifications to get the perfect fit. Grip fitting can be a time-consuming trial and error process. I’ve done this with other pistols using various permanent fillers. This time I would like to use a material that can ...

I had a similar question a while back. This was my solution.

Re: Home Range Camera
I use an Amcrest brand surveillance camera connected to a computer/monitor which is visible from my shooting position. The connection is via wi-fi so no wires are needed; the set-up is always ready and can be initiated in seconds. The camera and software was under $50 on good 'ole Amazon as I remem...

I'm also a former B-E shooter, and I would never have suggested that method for any circumstances other than those you described in your initial post. If what I offered was too burdensome, I apologize. I participate in several shooting forums besides this one – mostly reloading. One of the great th...

Re: Home Range Camera
I didn’t attend for this tread to become a debate about the best way to train and/or practice. That discussion is way beyond my experience level with 10 meter air pistol to comment. I am a former bullseye shooter and have always used a scope to check my shots. It was not safe or timely to walk to th...

Re: Home Range Camera
My scope options are very limited. I hung a tarp that will stop any pellet from flying into the office and damaging walls or other sensitive equipment. It works well and any shot that hits the tarp will be mostly expended and bounce harmlessly to the floor. Shots that go through the hole will hit th...

Home Range Camera
I recently had to reconfigure my home range. I was shooting from my loft through an open door to a target in a walk in attic. The range was fine except hot and cold air moved between the attic and loft making it uncomfortable to shoot in very cold or hot weather. I changed the configuration. Instead...

Re: Lube for air cylinder ??
I’m confused. I struggle with this issue of leaving the cylinder on or off. I have a P8X and I fire from 10 to 60 shots per day. The cylinder is fully normally charged every couple of days and stays on the gun. The gun is always ready to shoot. I shoot from my loft into an area of my walk-in attic t...

Re: Cleaning works, especially on your comp.
I also assumed they were referring to a patch. Language translation can account for the confusion. Air gun barrels are small. The last thing I would want is to have a patch or wick stuck in the barrel. With a properly fitted patch this problem is minimized. The only time I saw wicks used is in clean...

Re: Cleaning works, especially on your comp.
I have always heard to not clean a PCP air pistol. I am basically lazy, so that worked for me. Today I decided that it sure could hurt. I used a pull through made of weed wacker line with a melted ball end, a patch and some Ballistol that I use on my spring guns. I noticed you used Ballistol as a c...

We use a cleaning cord with cleaning wick for this purpose. what exactly is a cleaning cord and wick? can anyone post a picture of one? I think they meant this : https://www.amazon.com/Air-Venturi-PatchWorm-177-Cal-Gun-Cleaning/dp/B07ZDP2WR1/ref=sr_1_9?dchild=1&keywords=cleaning+gun+.177&qi...

Re: Cleaning works, especially on your comp.
That is interesting. I would think the felt fibers would rapidly go down the barrel and any going into the transfer port would be shot out with the air from the plenum exchange. My compensator was very small where the pellet passed through. A .187 drill bit barely passed through. Now a .195 will pa...

Re: Cleaning works, especially on your comp.
A while back I asked Feinwerkbrau about cleaning my P8X. This was their recommendation: “the P8X model is in principle very easy to use and care for. After each shooting, the gun should be wiped with a slightly oily cloth (as you practice). Barrel cleaning is recommended after about 1000 shots. We u...

I asked this question to Feinwerkbrau. This was their response: Below you will find our representatives in the USA which you can contact for the purchase and for the service of the air pistol model P 8X. George and Debbie Brenzovich, 22301 Texas 20, Fort Hancock, Texas 79839 USA Phone/Fax: 915-764-2...

Re: Super Lube Mystery Failure
I also use the Feinwerkbrau grease. It works fine but is expensive. A tube costs $12.45 for 4 gr at Pyramid Air with another $9.00 for shipping if that’s all you bought. That’s a total of $21.45 if you bought the grease alone. The grease that was recommended to me for cylinder lube (Super Lube 21010...

PTFE is another name for TELFON.
Is that a good thing for lubing cylinder treads?
