Re: 3-d printed scoring plugs?
Jamie had to add several extra steps to finish these plugs after printing. This was covered in depth in an earlier post. I have three and they are in spec as I mic them. He may have found them too much trouble to continue making. Since I am scoring paper USA50s I use them or my metal ones but I pref...

Re: Anschutz 1907 .22 LR Rifle with Butt Plate and Sights (Right Handed)
Anschutz wrote the book on how to baffle with mountains of different numbers on actions and stocks. However, as advertised by both ANA and Champions Choice this a “1907 in a 1914 Walnut Stock.” They also still list a “1907 in Walnut Stock” which does not have the “Precise” hardware. There is also th...

Re: 3-d printed scoring plugs?
A device used on paper targets to check a shot too close to “eyeball” whether it is touching the scoring ring of the next higher value to see if the shot receives the higher value. “Inner Plugs” are used to check most targets while “outer plugs are used for small bulls shot at 10m and 50 ft. There i...

Re: 3-d printed scoring plugs?
1845greyhounds (on this site) made some great 3-D printed outer scoring plugs for me. He received some questions about the construction (on this site) and replied that he found it necessary to add additional operations to surfaces to provide accurate scoring surfaces. Sounds like it was not a print ...

Re: Right handed/left eye dominant shooting advice?
I have had success coaching left eye dominant shooters who were already doing things right-handed by having them use a blocker(blinder) on the left eye while shooting right-handed. It is a good idea to get a new shooter to use their dominant eye/hand when starting out. You will have to decide which ...

Re: WTB: Ways of the Rifle
Th.,
That link shows the original Ways of the Rifle. It is good but the 2009 version is much improved. The new Rifle Training appears to only contain air rifle info. I think this calls for a second printing of Ways of the Rifle 2009.

Re: For Sale-all of our daughter’s equipment & guns
In reading the link and additional links attached to that, it mentions that you must “ship” to an FFL. I am going to contact my friendly neighborhood BATf MAN and find out which way this is now being interpreted regarding face to face transactions.

Federal law requires transfer using an FFL for intestate deal.

Re: For Sale-all of our daughter’s equipment & guns
Better check the laws in your state and buyer should do the same.
I would think it difficult to sell the listed equipment to the normal club as budgets are tight. Hopefully you will find the exception. If not you might be able to help a lot of individuals get gear they need.

Re: Question for the Coaches
dude, the OP wrote “as long as his arm.” I think he already found a coach. If he had not, your comment would have been appropriate and correct. In shooting sports a coach’s gender is not indicative of their abilities.

Re: Question for the Coaches
In my opinion the number 1 thing that makes someone coachable is that person recognizing that they want or need to work with a coach. The student is much more likely to be receptive and adaptive which, as mentioned by the previous posters, is key. Since you have that box checked make sure to enjoy t...
