Re: Ways of the Rifle, out of circulation, "Rifle Training"
Zach, I have been recommending Ways of the Rifle 2009 to other Smallbore shooters including my Junior team members. One of our adult Prone shooters recently bought a used one in excellent condition online and it was north of a hundred dollars but I forget how much. I just looked and saw one on Amazo...

Look at the decal in the case. Coach Dempster is Head Coach at West Point. Maybe somebody knows something.

Golfshot, I read the rule on electronic devices you provided and it reads “may not be used by athletes on the firing line.” It does not say ‘may not be worn.”

From what I have seen, getting German products has been more difficult for everyone and everything goes through customs, even air shipments.

Re: WTS: USA50 score plugs
Paul, I am sitting here with four plugs I purchased from The Greyhound. Looking at the business end of the plug with a magnifying glass you can see that the edge is parallel to the axis of the plug. It is not rounded. I scored a match on USA-50 targets last weekend and I find them easier to use than...

Re: WTS: USA50 score plugs
Received my new scoring plug(s) from The Greyhound today and could not be happier. Easier to handle as the handle end is thicker and easier to read on the target. They are worth every penny!

Re: WTS: USA50 score plugs
Jamie, Will you be shooting at Camp Perry in July? I would like 4 of the USA50 plugs. Unfortunately I do not use any of those new-fangled E-lectronic money gizmos mentioned that you crazy kids are using nowadays. I still have two metal ones that Mr. Ernest sold me years ago but they are easy to lose...

+1 on “Ways of the Rifle 2009.” I do not have the earlier version but am led to believe this version is much more detailed. VERY detailed!

Re: Sad state of affairs
I used to partner with another NRA Rifle Instructor who was conducting 9-week Basic Rifle courses for Juniors. I ran the range and scooped up Juniors that were interested in the NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program. Now I am recruiting from the Gun Club to which I belong. It is tough finding any p...

I read a year or two ago that Anschutz was no longer recommending 6nm on metal and 5nm on wood stocks.

Re: Sad state of affairs
Funny; I consider everyone who is satisfied with a “minute of man” sized group as part of the spray and pray crowd. Ranges that cater to that crowd are apparently followers of capitalism. 6string is correct that we are to blame. We let the anti-gun legislators and parents remove Smallbore programs f...

Sad state of affairs
I just read the post in the Youth Shooting section of TT in which a "highschooler" was asking about places to compete or practice. My first thought was of the banners on websites (i.e. Civilian Marksmanship Program etc.) that warn of California's law prohibiting the "marketing of fire...

Re: Can anyone recommend a good snap cap for use with a 22 rimfire
If you buy any of the latest yellow “Hilman” 4-6-8x7/8 wall anchors you will probably be disappointed. The rims are smaller in diameter and thickness now and do not protect or eject like the old ones. I found a new supplier with drywall anchors that do work. Southern Fasteners and Supply, LLC. south...

Re: New memer, question about wind effect on bullets
It takes a lifetime to try and figure out the fickle wind. You must pick out the flag on the range which is giving you the best indications of what the wind is doing to your bullet given the results on your target. Buy some books on reading the wind. Nancy Tompkins book “Prone and Long Range Rifle S...
