RWS R10 quality

How common? I was filling competition pellet box and I found these. This was last tin of the box. Haven't seen this kind of pellets before so much and there was lot of more. Normally I fill all my pellets to the pellet box and before this I have noticed maybe one damaged etc pellet per tin. R10 shou...

Re: TOZ Free Pistol Case Alternatives

I have a Fritzmann pistol case. Similar case what many pistol factories using. It’s so compact so I need to detach half of grip. But I like it so much, so I haven’t felt it a problem. I like that it’s so small and similar than other my pistol cases. Toz-35 case.jpg https://buinger.com/Fritzmann-pist...

Re: Aiming too long

Thanks a lot!

I think that my basic process is quite ok. I'm just waiting too long too good sight picture. Because triggering working "automatic" it feels hard to short aiming time.

I will make more dry fire. I believe it could help.

Aiming too long

Any tips to shorten aiming time? Any practice for this?
For air pistol I moved front sight back. Maybe this helped little.

Re: Pistol modifications middle of the competition

That was reason why I asking this, pistol total weight is measured parameter in the rules.
My idea was shoot standard pistol slow series without weights and put extra weights for rapid series (20s ans 10s). And yes total weights is under 1400g.

Pistol modifications middle of the competition

I couldn't find it in the rules.
Can I add or remove extra weights middle of the competition?

Re: Help for recoil jerk or wrist lock problem

Assuming you are right handed, most 7:00 shots come from forcing the shot off. Most 1:00 shots come from tightening your grip in anticipation of the shot, which is easier to do if you are forcing the shot off (and therefore know when it's going to go off). DO NOT THINK ABOUT FIRING THE SHOT. Concen...

Help for recoil jerk or wrist lock problem

I have a problem with the sport pistol (22lr). I can shoot nice 10 and 9 scores, but I get one 8 or 7 for almost each set. These bad shots are mostly 1 o’clock and sometimes 7 o’clock. I think that problem is recoil jerk or wrist lock problem. I can shoot with air pistol on training average 9,3 resu...

Re: Rapid fire pistol and dry fire after last target

I have a Walther SSP.
Seems clear that it's best to make only movement to the 6th target.

Rapid fire pistol and dry fire after last target

I read from pistol shooting guide that after last rapid fire target should move pistol to extra imaginary target and shot dry fire. Do you shoot dry fire after targets? What does rimfire pistol like if you shoot dry fire after every series?

Re: Walther SSP assembly tool

Here few photos. Tool's diameter about 40mm. Longer pin about 49mm, short 44,5mm. Pins diameter on middle about 6,5mm. Lock pin width 13,9mm, max length (reach) for lock locking pin about 16mm. Quite easy to make 3D print model if you want print a tool. SSP Tools.JPG SSP Tools2.JPG SSP Tools3.JPG

I was thinking of trying about this kind of jaw protection with my AP:

Re: Availability of Walther weapons?

There is a world wide shortage of integrated circuits, which is causing havoc with all sorts of things. Given that this model has an electronic trigger, they may be having trouble getting the chips they need. I can't imagine it's a high volume item, and I would have expected them to have bought a g...

Availability of Walther weapons?

I ordered four months ago a new Walther SSP-E from Germany web shop. Orginal ETA was 1-2 months. Now after four months I got new ETA, again two months. Is this normal business from Walther? What you think?

Re: Toz-35 bench test

i think the question (that interests me too) is if a toz35 can be tested from a FIXED clamping with a vice, not a ransom rest (that moves under recoil) Yes, that was my question :) Some benches seems fixed and some benches has moving or sliding parts. Example this seems quite fix but never knows if...

Re: Toz-35 bench test

Thanks a lot! Ok, I will make a grip block of wood and use that for fastening. Fixed bench is ok? No need to think flexibility for recoil? Interesting to see what is the barrel’s accuracy after 30 years. The pistol's manual says that it was at the factory 18,8mm (avg). Don’t know how much used and h...

I want to test my Toz-35 barrel accuracy so what is a safe and best way to tighten pistol/barrel to the bench?
Is it safe to use a normal bench clamp/vise?

Re: Two rear sights for Walther SSP?

Thanks, good tips. One thing what I thinking of two rear sight is that it could give a possibility use wider rear notch for rapid fire pistol. Because now we can use same pistol for rapid fire pistol and old advice was that wider rear sight notch is better for rapid shooting. But maybe it's over kil...
