50% vinegar and 50% hydrogen peroxide will remove lead from barrels. I wouldn't use it on my bullets either.

Re: Eley Target 22LR Ammo Problems
It was great ammo for me, accurate enough, and only maybe 7 misfires. I recall that 2 of those misfires lacked primer material and the rest were from filthy chambers in my guns. That was for a case of 5000.

Re: Eley Target 22LR Ammo Problems
Don, was the six cases of Eley from CMP the bulk ammo packed in 500 ct. boxes? I've always wondered what the equivalent of it was to other Eley ammo.

Re: CO2 to O2 conversion
Deadeye, look at steyr-sport.com and look up air kits. They make one for the LP-5 also.
I was thinking about getting one for my LP-1, but can't see any advantage to it, maybe a minimum amount of weight reduction.

Will give it a try John.
That would be nice atomicgale, since I drive 2 hours to and 2 hours from a match. I would like that a lot in the winter when there's snow on the ground.

Re: Wavering and Leaning
Thank you all for the help. I'm going to try some balance exercises, and change my stance to a more angled one, should help my neck muscles relax more also. I used that bladed stance to absorb more recoil when I started shooting CMP Service Pistol I didn't have the trouble swaying back and forth unt...

Wavering and Leaning
I have a problem that has surfaced recently. While I use a more bladed type of stance I'm wavering back and forth and find myself leaning to line up my shot, I feel like I'm going to fall forward on my face sometimes. I have the sight alignment perfect and aim at a deep six before the start of the p...

Re: For Sale: Hammerli 120 and other FPs
_J_ , do you have any grips for a TOZ 35 ? I bought a TOZ free pistol with the blocks of wood and need some grips. Because I'm a terrible wood carver I wouldn't want to destroy these beautiful walnut blocks.
Thanks, Stan
Thanks, Stan

Yes, I can see a short reset being a big advantage once you get to the faster stages.

Re: Rapid Fire pistol settings
"I believe the only US Olympic gold medal won in Rapid Fire was shot with a High Standard. That said, I suspect the Hammerli would be better." With the 215s I have the 1st stage shorter with about 200g and 2nd stage longer with about 800g, for Standard pistol slow stages. Should I change m...

Rapid Fire pistol settings
I have a Hammerli 215s and want to set it up for ISSF rapid fire. I don't think I can excel a whole lot at 72, but would like to do the best I can with this pistol or a HS Victor. I have rinks for the 215s and just factory stocks for the Victor. Would the 215s be a better choice because of the trigg...

Re: Am I too old?
No, you aren't too old Chameleon. Decide what venue you want to shoot whether it's Bullseye or any of the International sports. Find a mentor or coach at your club, or get an online coach and let them know what you want. I'm 72 and started Bullseye about 9 yrs. ago and air pistol about 5yrs ago. I'm...

Hammerli 208/215s pressure plunger
I am going to replace some springs and need to replace the pressure plunger because it's chewed up on the outer screw slots. I had the hardest time adjusting the trigger because of this, the hex head inner screw is in good shape. I haven't done this before and want to know if it is as simple as scre...

Re: Anyone still using CO2 match pistols
Thanks Dave, I'm still leasing a 25lb tank of CO2 from the welding shop. Those 20 lb fire extinguishers are pricey, I wouldn't know if my adapter would fit on the hose. I'll send you a pm.

Dave, was there a reason you went to CO2 or just because you bought the CPM-1 ?

Re: Anyone still using CO2 match pistols
I'm still shooting a Steyr LP-1 with CO2, in fact I have new o-ring seals and lube coming this week. My next purchase will be a CA conversion kit for it. I read somewhere about using nitrogen as a gas. If anyone is doing that I'd like to hear from you and how it's working out, it would be very new t...
