Re: Real Lock Time, Barrel Time, and On Call.
As it turns out, the human brain will give "significance" to anything you believe has "significance" and do everything in its power to prove your belief correct. Psychology is significant. Be careful on what you are focused.

Re: Half circle rear sight
I use the half moon sights on my TOZ-35 free pistol The rear sight blades included with the gun has square notch on one side and half moon shaped notch on the other (flipped over). With a rectangular notch, the gaps increase in the x dimension only resulting in more light on one side and less light ...

Re: What is the one thing I should work on to get a more steady hand ?
Steady hand is one thing... Steady arm is another...You need both. If by steady hand, you mean that your arm floats around a lot making it difficult to hold in one place long enough to fire the shot, then your answer is probably increasing arm strength. I suggest 2 or 3 times a week with a 3 to 5 lb...

Re: 10m only soon?
This simply allows a venue that only has 10 meter facilities available to still apply for a Rifle/Pistol World Cup.

Re: Side stance pros & cons
Rather than get into the "why" one way might work better than another, I suggest check out watch what the best in the world are doing. Much information here beyond stance.

Re: Unable to focus on sights
Typically, your glasses prescription plus about .50 to.75 dioptoer correction should place a relaxed eye focus at or about your front sight. There are a number of things that can cause this to vary. Discuss with your optometrist/opthamologist. You may need to experiment to find right lens. TALK TO Y...

Re: Can anyone convince me to keep using center hold for 10m?
I would try to talk you out of it... almost I had once worked out the mathematics behind a clear and focused sight alignment vs my hold. Long and short is that it is roughly 3 times more important that your sights be aligned and remain perfectly so through the trigger break than it was that I remain...

On the subject of training... https://www.sportpsych.org/nine-mental-skills-overview This seems a good outline of the issues covered in mental training as well as a good springboard for relevant search terms. There is much out there, you might need to look for it. Most everybody will tell you that s...

Re: How do you get past 550
The closer you get to 600 the closer you get to human capability. From here out, you TRAIN rather than practice. At 90% you have already demonstrated the basic abilities and can hit a 10, albeit sometimes and not most of the time. Now you have to move from hoping for a 10 and being happy with a 9 to...
