Re: Spotting scope
If you are going to shoot full distance HP the 82mm objective lens is a big plus. Easier to see the mirage, and shot markers and better on dark days.

Re: Winter Training
Hey Bob
I know you didn’t make it but the few times we shot at The Citadel indoor range a couple of winters ago was great.

Re: How to best mount a tuner?
Follow the Upta directions and you can’t go wrong. Take your time leveling the tuner. Time spent now will save time and frustrations later. The tuner should butt up to the barrel. Leave a gap between the tuner and the collar to help assure the tuner is up against the barrel.

Dance streams, which can be found on Amazon, cut to length, an arrow with fletching removed and the nock drilled to the size of the handle on the streamer. Some archery shops will give you old arrows. Arrows have to be hollow.

Re: Tec-Hro test stand
Martin I will upload some pictures soon. I thought about using a vice but decided I liked the approach I used. My stand has to be mobile a I thought a vice with the course threads would make sighting more difficult. I am using the Starik tuners also. I have been happy them except I had to reglue the...

Re: Tec-Hro test stand
Thanks Conradin I have modified my stand by adding a plate to the bottom. This adds about 15 lbs to the stand and give me a place to add leveling and elevation screws. Now I need a good way to adjust windage. This has really made testing ammo and tuning the tuner more precise. Just wish I had a 100 ...

Tec-Hro test stand
Does anyone have any experience using the Tec-Hro test stand? I bought one and I can’t find any instructions. Nothing came with it and nothing online. I have learned the following. There are two knurled nuts on stand. One adjust how for the top recoils. It goes from 0 to the spring stops the recoil....

Re: Cleaning bloop tube/tuner
Thanks for everyone’s input. I was just curious. I clean mine every time I clean the rifle using a 12 gauge bore snake. Three passes and it’s clean.

Cleaning bloop tube/tuner
Curious as to how often people clean their bloop tube/tuner? After cleaning does it take a few shots for the rifle to settle back down? If so how many shots does it take?

Re: Does anyone know the cost of an Electronic Target System
I have been using the Inband system for several months. During the summer and fall I used it at the range at 50 yards for smallbore. This winter I have been using it at the house for air rifle. I haven’t had any issues. The power pack that has to be bought separately lasts for hours. There have not ...

Butler flip up lens cover rotated so it acts as a blinder.

Re: spotting scope question
Be sure there isn’t anything behind the target. No old targets, no cardboard, nothing that can block the light from coming in through the backside of the target. This makes it easier to see the holes.

Re: need advice for spotting scope
You need to look at your target (pun intended). If you are putting your target on cardboard or on top of other targets then the holes are harder to see. Even if there is nothing directly behind the target , is background dark? This makes seeing holes harder. A backer or any light colored material 6+...

Re: Building 50 & 100 prone rifle
I went with a 24” Benchmark barrel. I second the Starik tuner.
