Re: Homemade turning target system.

This is my third generation turning targets system I've just finished for my local indoor 25yd club. Since shooting the video I have upgraded it again to give faster turning of the targets. The four pre-set timers are set for the usual sequences we shoot but can be set for any exposure/edge time and...

Re: Homemade turning target system.

Thank you. Yes, agree about the target board. I just made that board quick to see if the motor was man enough for the 24" target. I've now made up a couple of frames and have also made another base that slaves off the master one. It has a small radio receiver, a digital relay timer that can be ...

Homemade turning target system.

Just thought you guys might like to see my homemade turning targets. Obviously can't compare with a professional pneumatic system but fun none the less. Fully portable and the timings can be set what ever you need.

Re: 3D Printed Barrel Weights

3D printing has a lot to offer for something like target pistols. There's quite variety of pistols in a niche market and often not cost effective to injection mould custom parts. Fine if you want a thousand, not so good if you only want twenty. 3D printing has come on in leaps and bounds over the la...

Re: Curious About New Rifle Test Cards

That's shocking, and not the first time I've heard of items coming through the proof system with obvious faults. Reminds me of the recent VW/Audi dieselgate scandal where it was proved that they had be knowing cheating on the emission controls for years. Surely a well respected company wouldn't do t...

Re: Lp50 safe chamber flag

I've developed a kit that fits the magazine fed air rifles where it's impossible to feed a line right through the barrel (As in ISSF, Rule 6.2.2.2) Unfortunately no idea if it will fit the LP50 but if there were a few needed I could probably design and make something to suit I'm sure. http://i.imgur...

Really nothing there that anyone with a home workshop couldn't make in wood in an afternoon. And if you have a 3d printer for the clamp and brackets it would look just as professional. Hmm, there's thought.

Excellent video, very well presented. - I did find I needed to turn my sound well up to hear it though.

I think the Redding universal decap die will do the job for you. You can get the small pin used for the 6mmbr Lapua cases to fit the die. Small pin measures .06"

Re: Smith & Wesson for ISSF Centrefire match

I haven't tried a .32 myself, but I see all the posts here about the problems with accuracy. ??? The .38 (.357) has been used for generations successfully. I would say it is the reverse. The .32 S&W long is the 99.98 % used cartridge in ISSF centrefire competition. It has been used for generati...

Re: Where do you practice? / Let's see your at home range.

If you have an old iPhone and have another iPhone, you can just face time both. I have an iPhone 4, and I used it to pick up target and facetime with my personal iPhone. Works pretty well. iPhone camera is more than sharp enough for the target. Yes, that works if you have a signal - Here's another ...

Re: Where do you practice? / Let's see your at home range.

Is the camera mount on thinguniverse? Unfortunately not - there's so many possible combination with different eye piece diametres and different cameras you will need to design a custom adapter. This is a camera I often use - if you take it apart and remove the silver plastic part round the lens the...

Re: Where do you practice? / Let's see your at home range.

It's actually very easy and cheap to do. If you're thinking of doing it for 10m then any zoom scope that will focus down to 10m and power in the 10-15 X range. The camera is a cheap $10 USB job, (must be able to manually focus) and an android tablet or phone that supports OTG. You will also need an ...

There's a lot going for the Daisy 717 and great fun getting back to basics. I recently took a similar journey, turning a sub $100 LOV 21 CO2 pistol into a decent club level shooter. 3D printed barrel extension with adjustable barrel weights, 3d printed adjustable palm shelf, 3d printed rear sight bl...

Beside my workshop at the bottom of my garden - Don't be concerned, there's nothing to worry about on the other side of the fence.

Re: Walthe LGR - Resealing - Pics

I can do that for you - PM me and we can have a chat.. I'm UK based so there will be a bit of extra shipping cost and about a week delay. At a guess post would be around $7-10. Stainless steel legs, 3d printed black parts and hand machined aluminium nut.
