This is a very expensive way to go. You'll need special fittings. SodaStream CO2 is over $1/oz/
I shoot CO2 pistols. Tau 7, CPM-1, C25.
A 10lb CO2 tank costs about $120.
A 10lb refill costs $35.
For my Tau 7s, I use Crosman CO2 Powerlets. At Amazon today, $25 for 40. About a penny per shot.

Re: The Doctor says....
Any man who can see what he wants to get on film will usually find some way to get it; and a man who thinks his equipment is going to see for him is not going to get much of anything. -Hunter S. Thompson Seems to me this attitude might work for this game, too. " When photography gets so techni...

But wait! There's more
This is the top of the CO2 cylinder for the CPM-1. You can see the pin that gets pressed down to open the valve. This pin gets pressed down when the cylinder is filled and when it's on the pistol. http://artzen2.com/webmisc/qh012475_lzn.jpg There is an internal adjustment in the valve assembly that ...

You can use a larger Ziploc bag to test a pistol for leaks.

Re: I need a CO2 tank for a CPM-1
Ok disassemble the CPM1 valve assembly by holding the rectangular boss with a pair of needle nose pliers. The square machined knob unscrews with finger pressure. It slides out along with the spring. There is a flat bottomed urethane o ring McMaster Carr PN 1170n15 to replace. You might need to dig ...

Re: I need a CO2 tank for a CPM-1
Greetings tkinva, The CP-2 valve can be removed with a slotted large blade screwdriver. The 14mm hex piece stays in the cylinder. I received extra valve assemblies with the pistol. Your image suggests that it is serviced from the opposite side. I was considering removing the 14mm hex piece and shor...

Re: I need a CO2 tank for a CPM-1
Greetings tkinva, Most interesting... My older CP2 cylinders also have a 14mm hex. How much effort was needed to remove the brass fitting? Cheers, David Hi David, I clamped the allen wrench into a vise, slid the tank onto the wrench, then used a jar-opener which has a handle and rubber strap wrappe...

Re: I need a CO2 tank for a CPM-1
Update: I was able to remove the valve assembly using the 14mm wrench. Not sure what to do next. I have a feeling that the wrench was supposed to remove the inner part of the valve rather than the whole valve. Note: This tank was not a slow leaker. It was a catastrophic failure. The tank was just si...

Re: I need a CO2 tank for a CPM-1
I have a CPM1 with 2 tanks and will bs opening up my slow leaker to fix it..... I will let you know what's involved. Are you sure the tank is leaking and its not the green o ring. Fill the tank and fill the cavity and see how bad it bubbles...... Tbese are notorious for the sealing o ring that ride...

One of my CPM-1 CO2 tanks has died. Won't hold CO2.

Re: Lubes for ssp pistols?
I replaced the piston in an old LPM-1 that I recently acquired. It was so worn that the gun would just barely pump. This is the old piston and the new one. Note how worn the old one is. http://artzen2.com/webmisc/qh009844_lzn.jpg The piston in an SSP like the LPM-1 needs lubrication, especially one ...

Re: Best airgun against Zombies?
.
Walther LPM-1 re-purposed into a Naboo Blaster. Will take out zombies, droids, storm troopers, etc.
I'll convert it back to an LPM-1 as soon as I get a replacement piston.

Re: I need parts for a Walther LPM-1
Just for reference, this is that part I'm looking for. This is the piston from the LPM-1. When the flared skirt of the nylon part wears down, the whole piston must be replaced. No O-rings, no amount of cleaning or fiddling will fix this. https://www.schiesssport-billharz.de/shop/media/images/info/Pi...

Re: I need parts for a Walther LPM-1
You could also try contacting Walther direct, explaining that their dealers suck. I suspect that Walther already knows this. I was hoping that someone would respond that they had a drawer full of LPM-1 pistons that they had been trying to get rid of for years. Buying old pistols like the LPM-1 is a...

Thanks for the link.
I know of Protek, and they do list the piston on their Walther page.
Unfortunately, they are, as we used to say during World War II, "Closed for the duration."

I need parts for a Walther LPM-1
After a couple of weeks of working pretty good, my newly-acquired Walther LPM-1 has given up the ghost. It looks like its piston has stopped pisting. This is the early model (1993?) of the LPM-1, before the one with the compensator. This one just has a fairing and the barrel is about 30mm longer tha...

Re: Walther LPM-1 Hammer spring
If you're happy with how it's shooting, you're good to go. If you have a chronograph, you will probably be able to get around 490 fps max with a 7gr pellet. I think I recall putting in a spare spring from another brand of gun. No big deal. BTW I consider mine to be a real "keeper"....supe...
