Re: 5 shot air pistol target system

Not all of these are turning targets, but they may be helpful for inspiration. This is an old Häring 5 target turning setup (I have a box available at home): https://youtube.com/shorts/A9d8jMBlUcI?feature=share The innards of the box: https://youtube.com/shorts/iXyPZzU97sk?feature=share . Re: Help with SCATT Mx-W2

This could be an issue with the angle of the SCATT device. The suggestion about the red dot is very relevant. The preview gives you a general idea of where the target is but it is not good for ensuring that the device is aligned to detect the shot. Make sure that the cap for shooting outdoors is not...

Re: WTB: Ways of the Rifle

Thanks for the correction. I'm starting to get into rifle shooting now and have a lot to learn :)

Try contacting Heinz directly, he should be the best source for this :)

Re: 50 m target transporter: how fast?

It doesn't matter: it is out of your control amd you cannot change it. You get extra time when shooting on paper targets. You should use a scope to see your impacts. Re: First competition @ Camp Perry-WAG, advice?

This is not a competition for you: this is training for competition. Curiosity is your ally. Focus on your technique and ignore score. What maters is your appreciation of the shot. Don't worry about what others may think, they don't really care. I love seeing new shooters at competitions and root fo...

Re: WTF is THIS ???

There's a new pistol event with rifle stocks added to pistols that is gaining popularity in Germany. Rink is a fan of it and makes these "shoulder stocks" https://www.formgriffe.de/en/Shoulder-stocks/

I find it great that people find new ways of enjoying shooting.

Re: Cylinder date

May 2028. You will not be able to use it in international competitions after that. In natiinal competitions there may be exceptions added by the federations (this rule is not enforced in Belgium). As long as you are the one doing the filling, almost nobody cares. Be sure not to over charge it passed...

Re: Custom Grip for Air Pistol

I customized a grip before I really had a good understanding of what my grip holding was like and I consider it a waste of time and money. You have to really know how you grab your grip to get a consistent raise before doing any work on it. If every time you take the pistol you are holding it a bit ...

Re: New shooters - 1 hand or 2?

There's no benefit in starting two handed. Go one handed from the beginning and use supports initially to really understand sights alignment and trigger. Depending on the age they may even be allowed to shoot with support on competitions. The best is to start with and to keep shooting air pistol to ...

Nobody can give you a guarantee. Start shooting because you are curious and want t advance a bit. See if you like it and, if you do, work hard for years to get to be the best you can.

Re: Hammerli AP20 Pro general impressions and grips

I started shooting with the AP20 Pro and liked it more than the AP40 with the 5D grip . Full cylinder and wood grip. If you plan on lending it for lessons buy the regular model with the ambidextrous grip.

Re: Why is Pardini K12 unpopular

They are not unpopular. Great trigger, heavier pistol, no screws to customize the position of the grip. Yes, you are overreacting about the lever :) Great endurance. The only thing that you have to do after you remove the cylinder for filling up is to release a shot because some air stays in the reg...

Great grips. Make sure to send the drawing of your hand with the ruler so they can catch any mistakes.
