If you unscrew the cylinder only partly and leave it on the gun it will wobble and may lead to damage of the threads. Steyr's team of armurers at a competition recommended to have it fully on or fully off.
Your cylinder threads may have also been damaged.

Re: How Do I Fix My Sights?
There are a couple main choices:
* Stop focusing on them scratches and live with it,
* Blacken the sights with shoot or some kind of marker.
Actually, try both options :) Really focusing on the front sight will help them disappear.

Re: weight lifting shoes for shooting 10M AP
I've used the Adidas power lift, Sauer and Corami shoes, plus a lot of streetwear and tennis shoes. You have to figure out which style of balance suits you better: more forward leaning or more vertical leaning. You feel it in your feet and ankels. Just using the same shoes all the time for shooting ...

Re: 25m RFP Proposed changes
The rapid fire shooters I know also shoot sport pistol. Just like many women that shoot sport pistol also shoot 5 target rapid fire. The split of different events among genders is absurd. Luckily at least some national federations allow for all genders to participate in all events in the same condit...

Re: ISSF 10M Novice Practice Distance of 7M
To calculate the size of your target for that distance and to place it at the right height, use this calculator: https://www.olympicpistol.com/target-calculator/ This will keep the same apparent size of the target at the right angle, but you cannot count the score. It is still helpful and you can ev...

Re: Hearing Protection and Recommendations for 10M
You don't need ear protection for air pistol. You can use it for concentration and to isolate you a bit from the music in competitions and from other shooters and the public , but you will still hear them.

I've tested one and would not recommend it unless it will motivate you to practice (and for that sole purpose)

It may be the screw in front of the trigger guard. I had a similar issue and it was unscrewed all the way according to the gumsmith.

Re: New shooter drill/dry fire questions
Read the instructions of your gun to understand how to dry fire it. Leave the air cylinder on. The basic premise about dry firing is to do it with the same focus as you would in training and competition. The advantage is that because there's no score- and often no target- you can better focus on spe...

Re: Help with SCATT Mx-W2
This could be an issue with the angle of the SCATT device. The suggestion about the red dot is very relevant. The preview gives you a general idea of where the target is but it is not good for ensuring that the device is aligned to detect the shot. Make sure that the cap for shooting outdoors is not...
