I am still at the point that I do get nervous on a competition BUT not as what you describe. Here´s what I do: I try to concentrate on the shot process (breat...

I dunno, cause I train alone, don't have a coach, What I did was look for literature (look in http://www.targetshooting.ca ) also google Don Nygord tips, that helped me allot. I heard that if you can start with a coach is better, since if you don't you may have to get bad habits out when you're bein...

Control targets
After an interesting chat on technique problems yesterday, today I was thinking if I could make my own control targets, seeing that training with the back of the target helped me so much, I guess with control targets would help me more. I have seen some targets with a triangle and a horizontal line,...

well what worked for me was shooting about 1000 shots to blank targets, not only did I get better at focusing the sights but my trigger pull got better also. Another tip is to squeeze fluidly and all along while you're moving the pistol to the bullseye, no sudden pulls nor slow then fast to compensa...

Seems that day I was in the zone, I did however see that when I am going down with the gun to the bullseye (positioning) it has to be fluid and kind of fast. Wich in turn I noticed it helps me keep more focus on the sights. Today wasn`t really a nice day hehehe (get sometimes stumped when I get no r...

the grip, release, and first 10 time.
Hi, after reading allot of posts (including ed's uncontios shooting one). I have been trying to implement some of the things most of you have said. First of all after adding these, I have noticed a dramatic change in my group pattern (if I'm doing it right). Now let me tell you what I'm doing. First...

The free arm, and some other details.
Hey, I was wondering. Today I had a tournament (wich didn't go real well, I blame the headacke for my 506) and as allways I put my free (left) arm behind my back. Later another shooter said "its better if you put your arm in your front". Now what I have read says nothing really about your ...

The progress is surprising.
