Huh, mine doesn't say CCCP or Russia, it says "Made in USSR"
You have one that was destined for export and a later year.

The early TOZ pistols with "CCCP" markings seem to be a little higher quality than the ones stamped "Made In Russia". Mine was made in 1966 and for something that is old as I am and has changed hands a lot over time, it is an incredible shooter for an inexpensive (in comparison t...

What brand of ammo does your TOZ35 like?

I just purchased a TOZ35. SO far I have tried the Wolf match target but it seems that I had a few misfires with that brand. There were firm strikes to the case but no discharge after hitting it twice so perhaps that lot of ammo had a few unprimed cases. What are you guys using in your TOZ? What are ...

i own a older gsp (pretty much the same feel as the expert) and an IZH35m (the psitol the aw93 is based off of) the gsp is a bit more nose heavy while the aw93 and izh have really nice balance. for rapid fire, i tend to like my gsp better as the heavy nose dampens recoil a bunch and keeps that front...

clean it. check the firing pin in the bolt. it may be broken or have a broken return spring (most common casue) there is a new updated firing pin available from earls repair service (usa walther distributor) while it is also possible for the hammer to follow through and cause a slam fire, the more c...

i just fitted my izh35m with a CM grip made from walnut. the left side had to be modified in such a way that the saftey lever would function. i had to file off a small notch for the lever to fit in (they made the morini grip for earlier models with no thumb saftey) this made the wood rather flimsy a...

i would start with a good cleaning first. dirt can casue a sear not to fully engage on some pistols. possible causes of hammer follow through on the mod 52: the model 52 uses a flat spring for the sear spring. it may be weak or broken. the hammer spring may be weak the sear nose may be blunt from le...

You can give Earl's Repair Service, Inc and he can tell you the production year based on your serial number.

As guest mentioned, there is a 2 digit code but unless you know the code table then it means nothing.

hi, great bang for the buck. at the $800 price tag they carry, they are hard to beat. another one to consider is the rohm twinmaster match (i own one) great pistol for the price although the cz101 has a few nicer features that the twinmaster lacks (such as roatating grip) the grip is not that great ...

I second that super smoker. Nicole was kind enough to smoke my sights and that thing laid out some pretty nice blackness. As a matter of fact, the smoke soot is still on my pistol and it has been 2 nights. That is a nice unit. Looks pretty smooth. A must have to add to the shooters paraphanellia bag...

I shot a Ruger MKII slabside for the longest time. They are quite accurate but the triggers can stand a bit of some massaging. There are plenty of drop in trigger kits that will take care of that problem. There are also anotomical grips available for the pistol making it a great starter pistol for u...
