Re: LP50 questions
For those with a LP50 HP Compact, what pellets are people using to get the tightest groups? I'm currently shooting 10m in the basement. And how much does the Steyr 8 duct compensator positively impact a pistol's shooting? Thanks for any and all information! The UK National Small Bore Shooting Assoc...

Re: Steyr mgazine
The fun and leisure part for me is competition and plinking is for lower priced guns. In the UK there are various disciplines that could be shot using a 6 round Steyr LP50. Plus the addition of red dot sights and competition grips.
Remember, here we have a whole different set of rules.

Re: Steyr mgazine
Hi and many thanks for your reply. I understand such a magazine would not conform to ISSF regulations but would not matter as the pistol could be used for more (interesting) action disciplines for example as I suggested Bianchi plate shooting. 6 plates shot in 5 seconds and other similar shoots. The...

Re: Steyr mgazine
The idea of a sixth round is for plate and other more action shooting. Plus for example practice for the Bianchi plate match.
And that is what started my initial enquiry, Wish I hadn't bothered

If you think it "might be tempting" to insult me then please go away and haunt someone else and this forum is not for me and I will not make obvious comments on the differences between those of us on either side of the Atlantic. As we would say 'over here' "go forth and multiply"

Re: Steyr mgazine
Hi I have just bought a Steyr LP50 now that the UK Government has agreed that it is self indexing and not self loading and it seems so obvious for there (advertising link removed) to be a 6 'round' magazine. I cannot find any mention in Britain or Europe. Has this been thought of or made on your si...

Re: UK ban on .50 cal and Manually Actuated Release System?
And also, the UK Government Home Office Minister has also suggested that those heinous weapons air guns should also be registered in England as they are in Scotland that 'other' country to the North. It is suggested there are 6 million "air weapons" in England and Wales, (that 'other' coun...

Re: LP50 questions
I noticed something while shooting my LP50 yesterday, which is a potential problem if you were to have a magazine with >5 shots capacity: The way the magazine well is designed means that none of the pellets in the mag will be fully exposed on the right side of the gun, when the mag is inserted all ...

... a 6 round mag". Ask Steyr and its like blasphemy. Design your 6-shot magazine in a 3D tool, like Sketchup (free). Find a good friend with a cnc machine. I'm sure you can sell a few on eBay as well... The scandinavian countries have a field target competition in common, 6 shots is used for ...

Re: LP50 questions
Spark, I just picked up an LP50 compact High Power. Absolutely love it. Been doing ALOT of shooting in my back yard with my family. It really hammers the steel silhouette targets & sends them flying with a satisfying "ping"! From what I understand the trigger is the same as on the LP1...
