Re: Walther SSP trigger adjustment
If you hoped for a simple explanation saying "adjust screw X anti clockwise until you have the desired result" it is not that easy. Reducing first stage travel needs 2 adjustment to be made at the same time. If you do not understand what you are adjusting, you could end up in trouble with ...

Clearly my description in previous posts was not good enough. Any one else like to try?

Re: Walther GSP Trouble Shooting?
In the top picture, it looks like the spring is not pushing against the shoulder of the firing pin. Is the spring smaller on one end? Is it in the correct way?

Re: Walther GSP Trouble Shooting?
Gwhite My Club has an experienced gunsmith, with hands on knowledge of the GSP, he even uses one. I should see him over the weekend. I will ask him if he can help. What age is the one you are having problems with. Some parts diagrams from Walther mention these serial number ranges. Serial number 565...

Re: what .22 pistol would you choose?
I can only talk from the experience I had with my SSP. Mine works with anything. I have used Eley Club, Match pistol, Team, and sport. Have used Lapua, Geco, Winchester SK Pistol and CCI. It will even cycle on CCI Quite ammo. Eley Match pistol has the best recoil but is not cheap. SK pistol and Eley...

Re: Walther GSP Trouble Shooting?
It would nice if we got back to the original problem, a broken GSP. I joined this forum to help, if I could. I am sorry I contributed after the post got off topic. Will post again if I have something useful helpful and positive to contribute.

Re: Walther GSP Trouble Shooting?
What to do, spend $ 390 for a case of CCI SV or get some Lapua at $ 3200 a case. Or Tenex at $2600 a case. Or get some cheap Eley match pistol at $2000 a case. To buy 35000 rounds or 5000. Or 15000 rounds against 5000 if I buy SK pistol. Cost against benefit. In Australia availability and cost facto...

Re: Just bought a Steyr Evo. Need help with adapter ?
Why not connect onto the yoke fitting or straight onto the tank. Use a 8mm allen key to remove the yoke adaptor to connect straight to the tank or use the Din fitting in the yoke. That is unless you really want to use your hose.

Re: what .22 pistol would you choose?
Back to the original question I own a SSP I am very happy with it. Love the weight distribution. Mine has the 140 gram dampened weight on the front. Did not consider the GSP at the time I got the SSP. It did not have the weight distribution I wanted, plus a little bit too heavy. AW93 did not want a ...

Re: what .22 pistol would you choose?
Many experienced shooters regard the FW93 and the Walther SSP as unsuitable for Standard Pistol specifically. Reason: significant muzzle jump, detrimental in the fast series. I love the use of the word ''unsuitable" in this statement. I did not realize that owning a SSP was such bad thing. I gu...

Re: sliding weight on an air pistol barrel
I agree with David. As a "newbie" the difference between 4.49 and 4.5 does not mater. The pellet brands available to me are mostly the European brands. RWS, H&N and JSB. Would be happy to use any of them in competition. I shoot around 570 level and I cannot tell the difference between ...

Re: Group size shrinks when cylinder pressure falls
Put my LP10e and LP50hp in vice on the weekend. JSB med 8.02gr 4.49mm and JSB S100 4.50mm used in both. LP10e does 155 m/s with the JSB med pellets and the LP50hp does 220 m/s with the JSB mediums. The S100's have nearly the same five shot group size, they do not seem to care how fast they go. The J...

Re: HP 32 S&W long reciol spring length
Yes it does, the used shorter one is in the 32 and I was unaware how long it was until I took it out and compared it to a new one. I will continue to use it until I think It is time to change it. Most probably before it gets to 10000 rounds.

Re: LP10 getting 75 shots
Problem. Slow pistol low shot count. Possible causes for low velocity 1. Chrono telling lies 2. Hammer spring worn out 3. Valve binding in frame. 4. Regulator Stuffed. 5. Air leak in cylinder, valve, O-rings. 6. Major leak after valve. 7. I am sure there are other reasons Possible causes for low sho...

Re: HP 32 S&W long reciol spring length
I do not understand the question. The two springs are the same. One has been used and has lost some of its length, this is normal for an older spring. I expect it to get even shorter the more it is used. The other spring is an unused new spring. I have 3 different Italian 32 pistols. I think they ma...

Re: Gripsize feinwerkbau aw93
Putting a 1911 grip on the AW93? It just becomes an expensive Buckmark. Having the proper grip is part of the Olympic pistol experience. Get a quality Free pistol and shoot at 50m, that will let you see where you stand. A single shot pistol with a 5 gram trigger has limited use for other types of sh...

What is the point. Even if you can work out that the springs started life the same. They are both used now and of unknown condition.
