Re: Winchester 52D rear iron sight

T-4 has a Parker Hale 5-C on it, direct mount to the receiver. I think it was built as a police rifle, heavy NATO spec barrel, and a dovetail base on the receiver ring for a scope. Whatever was on the rear likely got pulled to mount the sight. If only it was one of the Palma rifles with a beaver tai...

Re: Winchester 52D rear iron sight

Bumbling along ... 2 main mounts, in the US anyway. Lyman is .xxx wide on the face, and 90 deg included angle Redfield .xxx wide and 60 deg. Redfield uses a 10-32 screw, Lyman an 8-32. (Angles and threads verified. Eyeballed anyway) Too many questions in my own head, need to dig a few rifles out of ...

Re: Winchester 52D rear iron sight

The 'Warner' design is being made by a guy on the HP Forum. Feedback is that they're every bit as good as the originals. And he rebuilds the originals as well.

Not 'cheap' though.

160, 185, 200 ... choice of bearing length and nose length. Short nose might have feeding issues, gun to gun. Long nose, light weight, short bearing length equals more case volume ... more powder required? Cast bullets generally priced by weight. How many more 185's will you get? 'Scrapping out' the...

FS: M-80? FWB AP Grips, LH Small

Bought these here some time back. Seller wasn't sure if 65 or 80. They don't fit my 65. Some wear on them, screw heads buggered a bit. Dim's: 65 (in, mm) / 80 in, mm) (+- a bit, mm rounded off) Frame depth OD: (1.225, 31) / 1.220, 20) Frame width: (.46, 11.5) / (.455, 11.5) Screw C-C: (2.13, 54) / (...

Bipods ... you gotta learn how to 'preload' them, or they bounce and throw shots to God knows where...

Get a good sling and coat... for score. And a proper 'Benchrest' setup for testing ammo...

You'll need a proper bench as well ...

Been there, done that... don't want to repeat it ...

Re: Need a lens made

'Clocking' astigmatism, rotate the lens until a window frame appears 'square'. As for round lenses, I've dropped off several holders to have lenses fit to them. None of them fit ... because the lense holders aren't ROUND. They're rolled from a milled strip. And lenses are somehow cut with a tracing ...

Re: home electronic target at < 10 M

I remember seeing targets for BB gun at 5M. No idea if the bull is the correct diameter.

Another option would be to cut out the center of a 10M to 5M diameter, and post it backwards on top.

Possibly. In a garage cabinet at my parent's house. Recently deceased parent's...

Re: Is the Hammerli 150 a difficult pistol?

Seems to me my 150 is dry fired by resetting it. Don't have to touch the breech and cock the firing pin. And I'm thinking all I have to do is pull my trigger finger from the guard and push the lever down. But I'm shooting left handed. Or that memory is from before I switched.

Re: Anschutz Sight Riser

Don't recall exactly how much, 7 or 8mm, but I made a riser for mine to go from 50 to 200 yds without adjusting the sight.

Lowering the front, like a LR rifle, is a better option. Keeps the cheek piece adjustment the same.

Hornady progressive, small measure insert. N-310, 2.05 gr. ... Bear Creek HBWC, in 32 HR. Weighed a bunch, looked just fine to me.

Bigger thing is a proper expander.

My FWB air rifle has a stepped insert. It's a 22mm, but for reference the diameters are .708/.782 ... 18/19.8mm.

Re: Fwb corkscrew barrel

The twist of the barrel is faster than the rifling. So centripetal force results in the pellet being out of round ...

No doubt they calculated it for 10M as to minimize the points most likely lost.

Coriolis not likely a big issue ... but maybe 'Cornholio' ...
