Re: Need a lens made

'Clocking' astigmatism, rotate the lens until a window frame appears 'square'. As for round lenses, I've dropped off several holders to have lenses fit to them. None of them fit ... because the lense holders aren't ROUND. They're rolled from a milled strip. And lenses are somehow cut with a tracing ...

Re: home electronic target at < 10 M

I remember seeing targets for BB gun at 5M. No idea if the bull is the correct diameter.

Another option would be to cut out the center of a 10M to 5M diameter, and post it backwards on top.

Possibly. In a garage cabinet at my parent's house. Recently deceased parent's...

If my siblings haven't already trashed them. I think I put a note on them... I didn't have room in my suitcase for anything newer then '63.

Re: Is the Hammerli 150 a difficult pistol?

Seems to me my 150 is dry fired by resetting it. Don't have to touch the breech and cock the firing pin. And I'm thinking all I have to do is pull my trigger finger from the guard and push the lever down. But I'm shooting left handed. Or that memory is from before I switched.

Re: Anschutz Sight Riser

Don't recall exactly how much, 7 or 8mm, but I made a riser for mine to go from 50 to 200 yds without adjusting the sight.

Lowering the front, like a LR rifle, is a better option. Keeps the cheek piece adjustment the same.

Hornady progressive, small measure insert. N-310, 2.05 gr. ... Bear Creek HBWC, in 32 HR. Weighed a bunch, looked just fine to me.

Bigger thing is a proper expander.

My FWB air rifle has a stepped insert. It's a 22mm, but for reference the diameters are .708/.782 ... 18/19.8mm.

Re: Fwb corkscrew barrel

The twist of the barrel is faster than the rifling. So centripetal force results in the pellet being out of round ...

No doubt they calculated it for 10M as to minimize the points most likely lost.

Coriolis not likely a big issue ... but maybe 'Cornholio' ...

Far below the level you're talking ... I did a fair bit of bench testing of pellets in my break barrel HW-35 40+??? years ago. Meisterkugeln were noticeably more accurate than RWS Hobby ... but I never saw any issue with switching back and forth ... and the Bluejays never complained about being assa...
