Re: Transitioning into international-style shooting
One thing to do is to get on USA Shooting's site and find Int'l matches in the area within driving distance. Then, try to make it to a couple to see what they are using and how the match is run. Talk to people about gear and where and how to get some of it then go from there. Good luck. Don in Oregon

ISSF response about dropping some events in the Olympics.
I received an email from Franz Schreiber today about my recent email wondering why some of the shooting events were being dropped from the Games. The main reason is to include more mixed team events in the same events so it will actually balance out in the end and it seems to be popular so far, espe...

Re: Rifle Transport and Sight Removal
I don't know what all you people have been having a problem with. I have taken my .22 and air rifle all over the world and never!!! removed the sights and had no problems with it. Maybe I have been lucky, but I would not bother if you have a good case to use for them. It's a step you don't have to b...

Re: IOC, the ISSF & the Extraordinary General Assembly
It is interesting the thought process that these people go through. I told people 15-20 years ago that the shooting events in the Olympics would all be air gun someday, except for shotgun which they like. Be warned. Don in Oregon

Do a search for Timber Beasts club in Forest Grove, OR and get info on how to contact them for help. They have had a BB-gun program for many years and I am sure they can help with any questions. The coaches took my coaching course some years ago. Don in Oregon

Re: Small frame sitting position
This is one of the most varied positions. We used to have a young girl in our league that shot with her feet flat on the mat and elbows on her knees Everyone told her that it was no good and you could not do well. Well, she outshot most of the other sitting shooters every week!! Try them all and see...
