Changing seals in Matchguns MG1H

Has anyone changed out the seals in their Matchguns MG1H? I hadn't shot mine in a couple of years due to severe joint problems, but now that those have cleared up my MG1H won't hold pressure. Rather than starting with contacting Matchguns, I thought I'd ask whether anyone here had replaced the seals...

Re: Define "Fair Compensation"

The problem with the idea of "fair compensation" is that value is subjective. What might be worth $100 to the government is worth $1,000 to me. My first rifle from back when I was a lad is probably worth $300 on the open market; I wouldn't let it go for 10x that. What they mean by "fa...

Re: Cheap-ass pellets

I bought a couple tubs for a jr. air rifle program. They've got two grades: bulk and "super bulk" (super cheap). Honestly, a majority of the "super bulks" grouped OK, except for the occasional flier. With an Air Arms T200 a group of 5 was *usually* a good group. Every 4th or 5th ...

Re: Steyr FP1 manual in English?

Hi TomAmilie, I acquired a Match FP recently here in Australia, with a Rink grip, after a prolonged search. Prior to finding it I was in contact with Ernst Huber at Steyr Sport who is the designer and builder of all 1,000 examples produced by Steyr Männlicher (prior to the split). He sent me an Eng...

Re: Steyr FP1 manual in English?

Thanks! At least now I can see the part I need (#57, the "hammer lever"). Now it's just a matter of finding one.

Steyr FP1 manual in English?

I need some help with my Steyr FP1. After a long hiatus from shooting due to joint problems, I took my Steyr FP to the range for the first time in a few years. 7 shots fine, the 8th nothing. Of the shots that fired, 6 look like good strong hits by the firing pin; one is a little weak. The striker ba...

Re: FWB 601 trigger help please

Probably no need to disassemble it..... It sounds like your trigger slack adjustment screw is too tight. The screw that gives your trigger 1st stage travel distance can actually be set to prevent the rifle from cocking. Back it up until you have a bit of take up distance and that should resolve thi...

FWB 601 trigger help please

I was shooting my FWB601 this evening, after a long absence, and at one point the trigger did not reset. Cocked the rifle, inserted pellet, closed loading gate, and the trigger is completely "dead". Tried re-opening loading gate and reworking cocking lever, all to no avail. Now I've got a ...

Re: Looking for a Match Pistol

Here's a new tank for $180 shipped. You need a DIN valve (basically a female threaded fitting) and the valve in this tank can be used either as a DIN valve or a "K" valve (which you don't want). This tank has a combo valve that can go both ways. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Luxfer-80-Cubic-Foo...

Re: Looking for a Match Pistol

As far as air source is concerned, life is short so get a scuba tank. If it's just you shooting air pistol at about a tin every two weeks your initial fill on an 80 foot tank will last a long time. Depending on where you're located, you should be able to find a new scuba tank for around $200, or you...

Re: Reduced free pistol targets

Quite honestly an air pistol target is so close to a scaled down free pistol target that I just use those. Yes, there's a small difference that you can see if you fold the targets in half and put them together side by side, but the difference is pretty much imperceptible unless you do that. The blac...

Re: Don’t like loading magazines..look at this aftermarket speedloader for Matchguns MG2.

I'm sorry, but you can load the magazine just about as quickly as you can load the charger or "speed loader". The video was a little silly since when he was loading the mag by hand he used his left hand to take each cartridge out of the palm of his right hand, and then handed it back to hi...

Re: Is the SAM10 AP any good as a backup??

10punkt9.de sells cylinders for many AP and AR, including the SAM. In fact, I got a couple from them for my SAM10. They only take payment via bank transfer (no credit cards or paypal) but they ship to the US. https://www.10punkt9.de/shop/index.php?cPath=1_21 I was contemplating ordering a FWB air cy...

Re: Need Help Scoring a 10 Meter Target...

For what it's worth, based on what I can see from the photo, I'd say #3 is a maybe, with #4 and #9 definitely in. Even without the gauges, it's often useful to look at the outer edge of the hole. #1, 3, 7, and 8 all look "reasonably close" if you're looking at the 10 dot. Instead, look at ...

Just out of curiosity - is anyone aware of cases where an AP or AR cylinder actually had a catastrophic failure? (i.e., exploded)?

Recent GunBroker sales 615 - 650. *Hilarious laughter heard from Europe* A used IZH-35 (a good gun by the way) is here between 100 and 250 Euros. Re: IZH 35

My opinion is worth exactly what it cost you, but my guess is that if you list it at $450 you'll sell it immediately, and if you list it at $550 you might wait for a while to find a buyer. I bought one off of TT about 6 months ago, after it sat in the "for sale" section for a few weeks at ...
