HPS System Gemini stocks

Hi all,

I am in the UK where the System Gemini stock is made.

I just wondered how many of you in the US have heard off or use a Gemini stock?

The different rim thicknesses affects the headpace in the action, which is critical to accuracy.

I sort all my ammo by rim thickness, I use a Gehmann Rim Thickness Gauge

I've done various tests on my rifle and rim thickness was one test that I found to be very important.

Re: Safety Line, Shooting Shoes

Thanx Ryan, yes thats what I was looking for and had heard of. Now, could you please advise me on some reasonably priced, good quality pistol shooting shoes. What are your views on the performance of the shooter using such shoes. Actually, I am looking for 'value for money' product. I shall await f...

Alot of people use weed eater line just put it in your barrel. <>Brian<> Anschutz have marketed it as 'Safety Line' with the appropriate price tag of course. And to sex it up as bit put a pretty lady in a thong on the packet! http://www.intershoot.co.uk/acatalog/Sundries.html#a168 The Safety look f...

As the last poster said, the System Gemini is the most adjustable there is. Developed by shooters for shooters Look at the stock they make! http://www.hps-tr.com/images/ultraStocks/fr703.jpg Cheek-piece adjustable WHILST IN POSITION, perfect balance, extra low profile... the list goes on. The buttpl...

The adjustment is about the same, as the last poster said. The MEC Free Position is fantastic, the other one worth looking at is the System Gemini, great range of adjustment and absolute genius engineering but a bit more expensive than the other two. http://www.intershoot.co.uk/acatalog/hpsaktivfree...

I think there is still a wooden stock available for it, if not in the catalogue. Also I think guys who were winning medals at world championships with their 1913's aren't gonna make the move to the square action 2013 until the barrel on their current rifle gives up the ghost. Have a look at the worl...

If its any help, the BULLET SHIFT is as follows for your 10 click sight

10m - 0.4mm
15m - 0.6mm
50m - 2.0mm
100m - 4.0mm

Someone might know some fancy formula to work it out from that, it should be triangulation or something.

Everyone in my club shoots Anschutz, with the odd Walther. Truth is they are all very good, I'd be happy with Anschutz, FWB or Walther definately. The Walther is usually a bit easier on the pocket, the FWB I've heard is a very good rifle and I've never had a problem wth my Anschutz and the service s...

Sorry I was actually talking about the rear irises, not the front irises, their rear irises have the new patent spring leaves which can't bend. Centra on the other hand.... Thats why they give a 30 year guarantee on their rear irises PS I don't work for Gehmann, in fact I sell the Centra / Anschutz ...

Re: Sights

I use a Gahmann rear Iris (but I wish I got a Centra) --Brian-- Is that the same Centra that use the technology Gehmann abandoned as being out of date a few decades ago? Stick to your Gehmann pal, all those gold medal winners can't be wrong! In answer to the poster, a Gehmann iris with colour filte...

Either of the MEC buttplates (Contact III or Free Position) will fit your stock no problem, even if it means screwing directly to the stock. I think version 3 of Contact just had a larger amount of adjustment, but basically the same as the older ones. The free position is a great buttplate too, albe...

A really nice offhand rest is the "System Gemini Ultra Standing Block" which can be found at http://hps-tr.com/SG_access.asp I'm not exactly sure if it will give you enough height but it looks like it will give you a lot. Their prices are absolutely ridiculous when you factor in the excha...

Why would changing the battery be different on a rifle? When I'm in prone position I'm attached to my handstop via a sling - I have my elbow fixed on the ground (which does not move once a shoot starts) and I'm on the ground!! If I remove my sling to get at the rifle, thus moving my elbow and distu...

Your jacket should be fairly tight, I wear one size down from a normal jacket same as you.

You should be comfotable but definately not sliding around inside it

I recently tried one after years of not thinking they were a good idea and I think it really helps.

I have the same rifle as you and when I saw Anschutz were bringing one out I thought I would try it, its the Anschutz Tenminator I bought (cool name too) and I find it helps clarity in the aim a lot

They crop up on ebay in good nick nearly every week. Just search for palm rest or Anschutz. If it fits an Anschutz rail it will fit Walther too.
