Re: Walther SSP dry-firing buffer
I have this buffer. It isn't like a normal dry fire plug you just put in front of the firing pin in the chamber. How it works, I am not sure. You have to unscrew one of the screws up front and screw it in there. I will say that it does seem to make the "hit" of the dry firing seem a bit so...

Re: New Morini Air Pistol - CM200 EI
In the brochure, page 8. What's this Training Mode thing?? It says "Training plug with random function". Randomizing what function? Not trigger weight as that's adjusted from springs, so whether it will fire or not? So you can do the ball and dummy exercise with an AP maybe?

Re: Walther SSP trigger adjustment
The one weird thing I encountered adjusting my SSP's trigger (for something similar to what the OP wanted), is that I could dry fire it fine, but then when I went to the range and live fired, it'd double fire. This is not something I encountered on any other mechanical triggered pistol. My Pardini S...

Walther SSP trigger adjustment
Can someone explain to me how to adjust the SSP's trigger? The "English" in the manual is challenging to understand for non-Walther engineers. The factory trigger has a very long 1st stage travel and feels quite heavy. The only setting I've actually succeeded in adjusting is the trigger st...

Re: Ultimate pellet tester?
An interesting idea, this Joker testing device. But it is basically a dial guage that tests the consistency of the skirt. So the question is, is pellet performance only affected by the skirt. Does the head shape not matter? I would imagine if the head was not perfectly flat, or round, it would affec...

Re: Saving Rio streaming video?
Open the Xbox app, switch to the browser, hit Window+G, answer Yes, this is a game. Then you can hit record video, and it will screen+audio to MP4 format. Meant to record games, but works fine in recording streaming video. :)

Re: Disqualified at Canadian Grand Prix. Any help is appreci
All the suggestions to making your trigger weight a little heavier are right on the money. The other thing is, when you test at home, make sure you can easily lift it. Or even better, have someone who isn't a shooter test it for you. Just tell them what you are trying to test, and see if they can ea...

Re: More Elite Scorer headache
Too bad about the Elite Scorer... it looked promising. I have both the Megalink 4K187 and and the Sius HS10, both 10m systems. I've had the Megalink over 8 years and the Sius about 2 years. The Megalink is an old school paper roll & microphone based scoring system. It works well though. I've onl...

ONTarget Halloween Airgun Championships (Oct 31-Nov 1, 2015)
Do you want a chance to shoot air rifle/pistol at the 2015 Pan Ams Games shooting range? Do you want to shoot two courses of fire, two finals, and even a special Halloween super-final on electronic targets over Halloween weekend (Oct 31, Nov 1)? Do you want to get a feel of the range and prep for ne...

Re: 3D Printed Grips for Air, Free?
I am in the process of trying it. My reason is, I bought a free pistol recently, and the grip was refinished, and the gun is older than I am, so I really don't want to carve it up and ruin it. Instead, I am going to print myself a grip, one I won't fee bad carving up or whatever, cause I can just pr...

Hammerli 105 firing pin hitting high?
I picked up a (obviously used) Hammerli 105 free pistol earlier this year because I thought why should the boys be the only ones allowed to play with 50m pistol. I took out the other day finally to shoot at 50m. It shot pretty well. The only issue I was having is, I was getting a lot of misfires. Th...

Re: Pan Am Games coverage?
I remember talking to the main jury and they will be putting out a final results book. I imagine they are working on that now. I am not sure if that result book will appear on the ISSF site, or the TO2015 site. You can find individual results here on the official TO2015 site: http://results.toronto2...

Re: Pan Am Games coverage?
No I don't think the lack of coverage has anything to do with the fact the ESTs were all Megalinks. I think the lack of coverage is typical Canadian TV BS. "OMG, guns! run away!" is the typical response. In this case, it was "OMG, guns! well, it's part of the PanAms, so we'll do a flu...

Re: Where to get a rapid fire and sport pistol elec trainer?
Some years ago a friend made one such device for me to use, it was about the size of a soap box, had a green/red light, and space in the middle so you can stick a print out of a target. It supported all the pistol matches, SP, Standard pistol, Olympic RF, etc. He promised it'd last forever with the ...

Re: Any experience with targetshootingproducts.com?
I have never ordered from their website, but I've basically bought everything I shoot from them over the last 12 years or so. This is anything from numerous air pistols, various Pardinis (before Pardini went exclusive), ammo, parts, etc. They are really a distribution warehouse. They sell a lot to o...
