Wooooooo...
I just HAVE to butt in. I have enjoyed so much of all your advice and my rookie opinions may not hold a whole lot of water BUT I say we just ask Steyr. I am certain they will tell us if it's in their future to have an LP-10ET (electronic trigger) (that's sarcasm...) Anyhow, i have only fired electro...

grouping?
Chris, my groups are horrible. I'm sure it is operator error but i just can't seem to group 5 shots within 1 inch. I think my usual groups are about 2 inches if not 3 inches. a couple will be 1/2" but there will be one or two that are WAY off, not even in the black. I am concentrating on breath...

thanks
Paul, please elaborate as to how to use the single shot mag to help me line up my shots. Is it because it will be centered? I do have one just only used it once or twice. It was so convenient to use the 5 shot. I do not think it is possile to load more than one pellet unless your LP50 goes automatic...

Feel bad for guys like Len
I think if i were in Len's shoes I'd be super mad. The scuba tanks will provide your air cylinders with much cleaner air. Thus providing a longer lifespan for your air pistols/rifles etc. I have heard from Tim at MAC-1 that the pumps need maintenance and can build up gunk inside over time. I can't r...

Vogel 0.52 gr vs. 0.5
I am about to switch over to the Vogel 0.5 gr pellets. I have about 500 rounds of practice on the 0.52 vogels. I understand i will get a little more velocity, perhaps 20 fps w/ the 0.5's. Would this change my POI at all??? I am asking because i bench tested my LP-50 w/ the 0.52's and sighted it in w...

Lovin my Styer LP-50
I have almost 500 rounds thru my new LP-50 from Pilkingtons. Thanks Rhonda for making this happen. Whenever I practice, i cant seem to put it down. I usually shoot 10m after i have already shot about 60 shots thru my hunting air rifle (Daystate Airwolf) and my P70FTOM. When i get to the LP-50, i lov...

How to score 10m
Can someone please email or respond as how to score 10m edelman targets? I am only practicing but would like to know if i am scoring myself correctly. Specifically, what do i award myself if my shot was midway between rings 8 and 9? How many shots are in a match?
Thanks.
Cheng

Fred, you are so correct! I was just shooting in the basement and got jams when firing in semi mode at 1 shot per second! i had to back out the velocity screw a full revolution. This brought the velocity down to avg of 482 fps w/ extreme spread of 475 and 492 with 110 shots from 200 bar to 100 bar. ...

Thank you all so much for your input. Somehow before i ordered my Lp-50 I thought i read somewhere in this forum a couple of months ago that this pistol was best at 500 fps. Hence, when i chrono's it and it was 440 to 450 i immediately called pilkington and spoke to their air pistol expert (i forgot...

sear adj screw?
Chris,
I'd better check the manual again for the sear adj screw. IS this the same as the velocity screw??? I hope not because i had to turn that one in order to get to 500 fps. could you tell me in parts diagram which is the sear screw so i can avoid it? thanks.

chrony working okay?
Guest,
I believe my Beta Chrony is working correctly because I compared to my p70 which shoots around 900 fps w/ CPH's.
thanks.

Help a rookie
Okay everyone, Got the LP-50 finally. Now where can i go on the web to find out how to fit the gun to my hand and start practicing w/ correct technique to avoid bad habits. Basically, i need a reference for the basics of competition air pistol.
