Our team got a sleeve to test out and initial tests have been positive. Decent groups in some guns, no real stinkers. We have shot them in matches with good results, 585+.
If the red box pellets are the individually pakaged ones Champion Shooter did have them on their website.

Hi Volker,
One of the best resources for shooting is a book called "Air Rifle Shooting" by Heinz Reinkemeier. The book "Ways of the Rifle" is the smallbore coutnerpart. Years worth of reading/experimenting in either book. I did send you a PM also.

Regards,
Rick

My club purchased the portable air gun range setup from Creedmoor. It is a little pricy but well worth the money in quality and ease of setup/takedown.

She has been to the eye doctor over the summer. I'm tending to think there is no astigmatism problem as she stated that the bull and front aperture are perfectly round. I've been away for a few days so I'm catching up with the posts. Thanks! I like the pinhole test. Now that I think of it she does h...

OK, todays update: I had her draw me a picture of what she is seeing. Instead of a circle it looks like almost complete circle, like a day or so after a full moon. I then had her look through the sights to verify it was still there in Kneeling, yesterday was standing, it was. I asked her to look wit...

Added riser blocks recently. She did have a slight tilt to her head. Slight. I will post pics tomorrow. I will also ask her to draw what she sees.

I do not know what her correction is.

We have enough shooters who wear corrective glasses on the team. I bet I can find someone with a similar prescription. I have no experience with contacts but I do know that she switched types of contacts over the summer. However, the problem was present with both types. Ill try getting some glasses ...

It is more straight than oblong. I'm going to continue my interrogation today for more details. I agree with you that the cheekpiece could be an issue causing the shooter to not look through the sights correctly but the level of shooter make me think that it can't be that. Top level competitor. Odd sight picture problem - any ideas?

I have a shooter who has a an interesting sighting issue. When the shooter looks through the rear sight they don't see a nice round circle. The part that is out of round is around the 4 o'clock region and covers about 20% of the opening. The first thing I did was to look through the sight. OK, it is...

Once his hold does settle there is much more movement in the x-direction, left right, than up-down. That type of movement is fairly typical in many shooters but that got me thinking of muscle tension as one of the main causes. He is still not relaxing enough and it is apparent even when coming down ...

Noptel trace interpretation

One of my shooters was working standing with the Noptel last week. He is a young improving shooter ( ~88 ave standing ). We were working on his approach onto the bull. In a perfect world everyones trace would fall directly down from 12 o'clock onto the 10 ring just like magic. His Noptel curve would...

My club purchased the Creedmoor airgun range. It is a fine piece of work. The range sets up and dismantles easily. Usually it is left set up in our club but I have taken it to several airgun demo's. It has withstood hundreds of shots from a Sportsmen's Show where the kids were pelting the backstop w...

alternative mental routine ???

I was coaching a junior shooter the other day and we were discussing shot rhythm and mental routines. I am a fan of the Bassam Mental Management routines. It is easy to learn and modify for an individual. It minimizes the conscious part of the brain and lets the high performances just happen. I'm al...

I agree that finding another club may be the easiest way to continue to shoot. My club is dominated by action shooters. Nobody even knows what a smallbore target rifle is. I got all excited one time when a member said he bought a new "target" rifle, it was a Ruger 10/22 with a scope.... An...

I found these on usashootings site. I know the individuals who run programs at the first 3 listed. They have solid programs for juniors. I am in Harvard, MA which may be little far for you to travel. I hope this helps. Rick Cheshire County Fish & Game Club P.O. Box 233 Keene, NH 03431-0233 Phone...

Mass shooters

Hi Dan and Mike, We should all get together sometime. I have started a junior program in Harvard MA and am proparing for my first trip to Perry since 1991..... I would also like to see some senior matches also. I see no reason that matches in Mass can't be open matches so us oldsters can shoot too. ...

$350 cm-2 rifles

The CM2 rifles are great for a junior program. The best thing they have going for them is that they actually fit younger shooters. The price is attractive also. We just got 4 more for our junior program. I would talk to a dealer in your area and explain to them that this is for developing future sho...
