General XS40 questions

Well, it would seem we may consider buying one or two of these for the club. Or, some club members are getting very serious about buying one and have asked a few questions. Does it have a rail? It does not say it out right in the Daisy catalog. If not how does one attach a sling for different shoote...

Wow guys! Thanks!! That is why I like forums. To Moe, thanks for reminding me about stock length. You are right on the money. the stock 499 is too long for many a shooter. Daisy 499B question(s)

At long last our 499s arrived from Daisy. 5 months later they seem to have produced a lot to fill back orders. So, now what he asks? They come with the rear micometer sight and sling uninstalled. I figured out the rear sight but where to drill the hole for the sling is up to the user. Trivial issue ...

Anyway, he mailed me a nice brochure on the Passport program for youth development. One can attain certain...

akihmsa, we have procured one 747 at this time for our 4-H youth program. We introduced the 888 and the 747 to all the kids this past Sunday. They liked it but found the trigger so light on the pistol that they did not care for it. Something to be learned. Even as a non pistol type I gave it a try a...

Scoring BB targets

Scoring targets. I have shot a few 10m matches with my 2002SSP using wadcutters. Got educated on the scoring guage and it certainly removes the subjectivity. I have an 888 it is seems to be pushing the wadcutter a bit slower than the 2002 as it cuts a hole but not as cleanly. Scoring guage will be a...

I agree with Jay but until there is a separate area, we'll share youth issues under sporter. It seems you've given me license to do that. Our club is two years old, 4-H in Collin County (Plano/Allen/Frisco aka "north of Dallas") Shot gun seems to be going strong but is driven by parents fo...
