Hi Snakeeater, Mine has fail to fire issues when I use Aquila SV and some of the Eley is made and lubed the same. When the gun feeds a round the bottom of the bolt/slide rakes the next round in the magazine. This flakes the wax lube and the flakes rub off in the chamber area when the round is fed ke...

Nill Griffe

Hi Guest, They are Nill Griffe. I have a set of the same size on another gun and love them. These are not as comfortable. I am still trying to decide if I will keep the 52. It shoots great but I dont shoot it as well as I think I should. If I get more comfortable with it I might adjust on them some ...

BME

Howdy, I have a BME frame mount. It is working well. If you look behind the rear sight where the top of the slide meets the side of the slide (both sides) you will see a corner that I relieved ever so slightly. This allows me to pull the safety and rear sight at cleaning time and remove the slide in...

Comment on scraping

Hi Kiwi, I have nothing to add about the DES69. As far as the scraping of the top round in the mag, my Pardini does it to the extent that causes flakes of waxy lube from certain brands of ammo to foul the chamber and keep the gun from firing. No problem with softer lubed bullets like RWS, Wolf or S&...

Mobil 1 transmission fluid

Hi Folks, Thanks for the replies. I soaked it in Mobil 1 transmission fluid and gave it a good flexing before I wiped it off. It seems to be good again. I don't know how long it will last. I E-mailed Merit and did not get a reply. Zoned's solution looks like a nice one. I might give it a try if this...

suction cup for merit eyepiece

Hi Folks, Has anyone had any luck rejuvenating the cup on a Merit eyepiece? Brownell's used to list the cup but I just checked on line and cant find a listing for them. It is wanting to fall off my glasses. I figure someone around here might have the recipe to soak it in something to bring it back t...

Here is why mine does it

Howdy, Many may be different, but here is why my SP does it. Mine is sensitive to lube. Even different case lots can differ as I had one case of ammo that worked and replaced it with another of the same kind that wouldn't. I knew it was ammo related and thought it was several different things before...

Re: Ammo
The lube they used on their bullets would shortly build-up to a point in the chamber that I would have to physically force a bullet into the chamber in my free pistol and the same problem would occur after a couple of magazines in my standard pistol.
Amen to that. I am having the s...

Hi Fred

Hi Fred,
Yep it does. I dont notice it untill I index it off the battery cap. I have been shooting mine and like it. My scores are good and I shot my best slow fire to date.
It lightened my gun up and the whole thing feels better to me.
Good luck with the dot.

Thanks Fred

Thanks Fred, I shot mine today. I am gaining faith in the gun and the dot. The dot stayed put today. We have been shooting an informal league of 60 rounds at 25 yards on 25 yard timed and rapid targets. I sighted the gun in with the new dot and shot a 200, 11X on the slowfire leg. I have never done ...

I'm back

Hi Isabel, Well, I like it. There have been some complaints about distortion in the lenses but this one is clear with a good round dot. The mount fits a Weaver base and comes with an adapter for rimfire dovetail. Now, It crawls some on a Pardini. This is not new and I have to sharpen the claws on mo...

Woke up and found it on the porch

Howdy, OK, it is here and mounted and I'll shoot it today. Here is a quick review from what I have learned. It is held on by a giant external nut. Cosmeticly it could be a better design but it looks like the nut is up to the job. Optically it is superior to the Ultra dots I have or have had. I mean ...

Hi Guest

Howdy,
I don't know if the Hammers is good or bad.
I have been around the Konus spotting scopes and found them to be good quality and more often than not a lot for your money.
The Konus can be found under $80.00.
Mine is still in transit and I will report on it when it gets in.
Thanks

Ain't it the truth!

Howdy, I mean to tell you it's a crapshoot. I have some pretty high price dots laying around here that dont compare to my best one, an old beat up Simmons. I have two U.D. sights that are wavy and distorted. They also reduce the image of the target due to what the company calls "Lens stacking&q...

Hi Fred

Hi Fred, I have read that too. I have also purchased two Ultradots that I can say the same thing about. Stacking and distortion. I still have one of them and I seem to shoot it well for all the fault I find with it. I have an old Simmons on one of my guns that I might replace and the light, little (...

Howdy,
I had a GSP for a year and now a Pardini and this old Buckmark gives up little if anything to them.
It seems my scores have more to do with how I shoot than what I shoot. (with in reason)
Good luck with what ever you choose.

Hi Quest

Hi Quest. It is not a Victor. It is a Pardini I bought from Victor. It seems to run just fine on Aquilla SE. That's not to say they all will. I have an old Clark/Ruger that hates the stuff.. I also have 4,000 rounds of it through my GSP and it has never had a failure of any kind. No duds, no feeding...
