Re: Please explain this air pistol silhouette to me.
The 2 guys in that picture look familiar.... Oh yes, they were on the 2018 Louisiana 4-H Air Pistol Team that won the National Championship last week in Grand Island, Nebraska. The one in the front placed 2nd in silhouettes and the one in the back placed 1st in silhouettes shooting 35 and 36 out of ...

Re: felt pellets (air pistol)
Keep an eye on the pellet count of RWS Hobby pellets as well. Both the Basic and Hobby pellets had been out of stock for a while. The Hobby pellets are back in stock but they are now 300 count tins, not the usual 500 count like they used to be.

Re: Sporters/precision
If you are planning to compete in any NRA sporter class air rifle matches there is a list of the rifles that can be used. (See NRA Air Rifle Rule 4.2.1). Of the approved sporter air rifles, the one we have found fits adults the best is the Crosman Challenger. It is certainly not the same feel as an ...

Re: Daisy 499b Program Startup - ideas needed
If you do decide to go forward with the program. It sounds like the 499 would certainly meet your needs. They would certainly be better for a young beginner than an air rifle. Air rifles are more expensive and heavier. We have not had any trouble with springs falling out. We have also seen some impr...

Re: Daisy 499b Program Startup - ideas needed
In your post, you don't state your goals for this BB club. If you are planning to teach basic marksmanship to your Cub Scouts then an out of the box Daisy 499 will be fine. If you are talking about starting a competitive BB shooting team that requires a bit more work. Our 4-H club started shooting B...

Re: Another CZ 200T question
We have had problems with plastic muzzle break tubes on the T200. We replaced all of ours with metal ones. Bill Earnest Shooting Products makes them. Bill custom makes all sorts of things but he does not have an online store. Do a search for Earnest Shooting Products and you should be able to find a...

Re: Air Rifle Silhouette Advice
Call Champions Choice at 615 783 4066 or 1 800 345 7179 to order. Ask for the air arms S200 and sights for the same. This is the legal sporter air rifle since Daisy no longer sells the one you mentioned. My original post was added so those reading this string would not call Champions Choice and ord...

Re: Air Rifle Silhouette Advice
I know this is a very old topic, but since I still refer to the old posts thought maybe others do too. This is the equipment requirements for NRA Air Rifle Silhouettes: Rule 3.3 (b) Sporter Air Rifle: Any unaltered factory sporter air rifle that is or was a catalogue item, readily available over the...
