Re: Lighter Air Pistols - The Wave Of The Future?
The points made by J-team are difficult to ignore ["A lighter pistol is more effected by triggering errors (and yes, even the best in the world make slight errors occasionally with the trigger technique), weight has a dampening effect"]. I've owned a LP400 carbon for two and a half years. ...

Re: Walther Alu vs Carbon?
I can understand the equal pistol weight logic for those who shoot both FP and AP. Now that FP is being relegated to museums, does this mean that more shooters are likely to start experimenting with lighter air pistols like the LP400 Carbon?

Re: Walther Alu vs Carbon?
I have the long carbon with a standard tank. Attach the pair of weights (supplied) to the business end for a beautifully balanced air pistol. Also, the grip can be adjusted better than most other brands; mine is at an extreme angle. Might be just me, but allow for lots of experimentation in order to...

Re: Pardini K12 Updates (older vs. newer)
I'm no engineer or mechanical expert; but will the long length of these sears create a super fast shot release? It's the only thing about my K12 which I couldn't do without.

Re: Who has handled the Hamerli AP20 Pro.
Buy the LP400 in the first instance, and save yourself a lot of hassle (and money) in the long term. Meanwhile, the AP20 was deliberately designed to look like an amateur pistol. In reality, it's highly functional and extremely accurate.

Re: Pardini K12 Updates (older vs. newer)
I'm not convinced there have been any changes to the trigger mechanism. My K12 dates from around July 2015. It's the same great trigger; super crisp and responsive, ideal for releasing that "surprise shot." How do you make improvements to a brilliant trigger?

Re: Quick Review of Walther LP400
Must be old stock, because the compact hasn't appeared in their catalogues for almost a year. Also, yours will have the AP20 rear sight. Was the LP10 really that heavy? What's the weight of your new compact? Also, why didn't you just buy the up-graded LP400 version (wooden 3D grip, fully adjustable ...

Re: Walther lp400 vs morini
Yes, lots of people have said that the LP400 grip is too skinny. After initial reservations, I'm now very pleased with the design, and how well it fits my hand. In order to maintain consistent trigger weight; adjusting first and second stages, including the sear, will need quite a bit of experimenta...

Re: Hammerli AP20 - what are the negatives?
The AP20 is well made (by Walther) and has many of the essential adjustments. The rear sight is, pretty much, identical to the one on the LP300. Also, all the trigger adjustments are there, including a multi-post foresight. A wooden grip will always feel better than the AP20's plastic though. Accura...

LP400 Adjustments
Haven't changed any of these from the original factory settings. After checking the grub screws, I noticed that B was loose. Is this normal? A and C are tight however.

Re: Isakov and Walther LP400
Pheyden, Ulrich has already accepted that there was a cylinder thread problem with some of the very first cylinders. This has now been remedied, and it's no longer an issue. With the greatest respect, your posts have added nothing useful to the cylinder debate. The LP400 is a top gun, and I'm very p...

Re: Isakov and Walther LP400
Fred, "lazy fools" (your words, not mine) should not be encouraged to go anywhere near any type of firearm. Equally, Walther don't feel the need to manufacture pistols for such people.

Re: Isakov and Walther LP400
I was referring to the problem of the threads in the LP400 cylinder stripping David, I suspect that Ulrich is unlikely to reply to your comment because the topic has been, more than adequately, dealt with among all the posts. A small minority of people are more careless than the rest of us; this is...

Spencer, I love your comment about the Scottish claymore. Yes, I can well imagine adrenaline rushing in all directions when the claymore found itself in full-speed swing.

David Levene, do you lie in bed each night hoping that the LP400 monster will not disturb your sleep? Also, you appear to claim significant knowledge about this particular pistol. Do you actually own a Walther LP400?

Isakov and Costa; it's great to see these "old-timers" giving the young up-starts a good thrashing during serious competitions.

Re: Isakov and Walther LP400
Vladimir Isakov is a professional shooter. Thousands of hours of training and dedication; he's entitled to all the sponsorship he receives. Of course he could shoot just as well with other pistols. No doubt the arrangement he has with Walther at the moment is agreeable for both parties. Would Walthe...
