Anschutz 8002 green seal replacement
I have an Anschutz 8002 that needs a seal replacement for the green seal located in the recess into which I screw in the air tank. I think I need to remove the stock to get at the seal. Yes, No Is there a correct way to remove the old seal? Maybe I should ask what I should not do when removing the o...

Re: Set trigger
I have double sets on all my offhand single shot Schuetzen rifles. The 22’s are shot at 50 yards and 100 yards the rest at 200 yards.
That said, I would prefer the trigger on my Anschutz 8002 air rifle to any of the double sets on the single shot rifles.

Re: remove or leave pcp cylinder on the rifle after firing
An excerpt from the 8002 manual 17.2 Releasing the compressed air cylinder ANSCHÜTZ recommends that the compressed air cy-linders always be released when the compressed air rifle is not being used to protect the housing, valve, seals, springs and for safety reasons (no readiness to fire if there is ...

Re: remove or leave pcp cylinder on the rifle after firing
Anschutz recommends for the 8002 air rifle that you unscrew the cylinder about one turn and then cock and fire the rifle until all air is released from the firing chamber. They say that if you unscrew the cylinder until you hear air escaping from between the cylinder and the firing chamber you will ...

Re: Anschutz 8002 cleaning
I guess I will clean with the Anschutz cleaning kit which I just ordered from Champions Choice. Tried to buy it from Champ Shooters and could not find it there. I purchased the rifle from Champ Shooters Supply. I can never tell how much of the literature for a company’s product is CYA and how much s...

Anschutz 8002 cleaning
I recently purchased an Anschutz 8002 and see that they recommend cleaning the rifle every 2000 or 3000 shots or once a year in the course of inspection with their cleaning kit. When I received the rifle in early Sept. and not having a cleaning kit I just shot the rifle and now have around 2900 pell...

Re: Air cylinder
I have been thinking about purchasing a Anschutz 8002 and after reading the above posts have a few questions. Do all the air cylinders have an expiration date? If so how long is the normal time limit before the expiration date? i.e. from new. Do they fail in some way that is dangerous or harmful to ...
