Many think the smaller dots will allow them to aim more accurately. They probably would if the shooter could hold the gun still. Larger dots are easier to shoot well. The lower, the better.
If the dot is mounted high, any wrist or arm movement is multiplied. Makes it difficult to pull the trigger smoothly.

I have a Larry's trigger on my trailside, and it does adjust like the instructions posted by rmca. Try using the flathead screwdriver to turn the large plunger behind the trigger out until the hammer will not fall. Turn it back just until the hammer will fall.
