Re: Something sort of weird is happening with my shots.
If it's the last shot of the three you might be thinking about moving onto the next target rather than on good shot execution. When your coach returns from holiday get them to tell you when to move on to the next target when training, could be after 1 shot, or after 5. This should help you to avoid...

Something sort of weird is happening with my shots.
Hey guys, How's it going? I finally got my gun and suit and my score went up pretty dramatically (from about 540 to about 570). Now that I'm grouping more seriously, I'm starting to notice a weird trend. I change targets every three shots, and almost always (like 8 out of 10 times) my last shot of t...

Re: Where can I get a replacement electronic trigger mechani
Igor's blog has some pages on his development for an electronic trigger for the TOZ 35. Maybe there is something there you can use. I couldn't find a search function on the blog, but this is the page in which he presents the start of what he was working on: http://toz35.blogspot.gr/2011/02/toz-35-f...

Re: Where can I get a replacement electronic trigger mechani
I wrote iPhone app that gives you data about how much your hand shakes while pulling an on-screen trigger so pistol shooters can train with only their phone. I hate to put a dampener on your idea, but surely the only thing this will train you in is pulling a trigger, either virtual or actual, on a ...

Might interest you: http://luke1984.blogspot.co.nz/search/label/Toz%20Electronic%20Trigger I see he uses an old mouse for source of the microswitch. I'm not very familiar with air pistols but I've been told that their triggers are heavier than rifle triggers. I'm not sure exactly how much force is ...

Re: Where can I get a replacement electronic trigger mechani
LOL
I'll definitely look though Igor's blog. It seems like it could help me quite a bit. My goal right now is to keep the integrity of an actual air pistol's trigger feel and a microswitch seems like a better idea for my goal.

Re: Where can I get a replacement electronic trigger mechani
I'm trying to make something I become nervous when someone who does not appear to be a competition shooter from their query, asks where they can purchase gun parts....especially to be shipped to Tehran. Surely a little more background would be appreciated...and the intended use. Oh god, I look so s...

Re: Where can I get a replacement electronic trigger mechani
You don't say where you are. I assume that Morini would sell you the parts, but they won't be cheap. If you can get a mechanical trigger you are happy with, you could attach a "flag" to it that would trip a photo-interuptor. That way there is no mechanical drag on the existing trigger mec...

Re: Where can I get a replacement electronic trigger mechani
The problem is that there are two pieces. The electronics, and the mechanical system that activates the electronics. You can certainly buy replacement electronics boards for Morinis, but it sounds like what you want is the mechanical stuff that produces a switch closure (or equivalent). That's typi...

Where can I get a replacement electronic trigger mechanism?
Hey guys I'm trying to make something and an electric trigger mechanism (like the ones on LP10Es) would come in extremely handy. I just can't seem to find an online store that sells them. I initially wanted to just use a classic trigger mechanism for my project but I can't think of a way to get digi...

Re: How much does shooting matter to a school like MIT?
I just said my practice scores to give you guys a feel of where I am. I must have missed those, and still can't find them. I initially said my scores fall around MIT's average. They're around 550 right now. I'm hoping to improve them by about 20 by the time I apply. If I recall correctly, MIT's ave...

Re: How much does shooting matter to a school like MIT?
I re-read your original post and have some constructive comments. First, unless you have some incredibly good air scores and can reliably turn those numbers in, without smallbore experience it's going to be an exceptionally difficult job to even walk on a NCAA team. A couple of years ago I met a yo...

Re: How much does shooting matter to a school like MIT?
Are you considering Stanford also? MIT does not have palm trees. I'll definitely apply to Stanford but I have just really fell in love with MIT. I mean the only thing that can get my mind off of MIT is shooting. Every thing I read about MIT makes me love it move. Everything about MIT is just perfec...

Re: How much does shooting matter to a school like MIT?
Are you Canadian? Would MIT be willing or allowed to take in a foreign Iranian student consider there is, at this moment still, no official diplomatic relationship between the USA and Iran? Yea, I'm Canadian and I'll apply as a Canadian. MIT does though take a lot of students from Iran. On average,...

Re: How much does shooting matter to a school like MIT?
How come your English is so good? Do you go to an "American" school? Thanks! I grew up in Vancouver but then moved to Tehran. I highly prefer American schools. My first choice is obviously MIT because I really love that school but I still prefer American schools to Canadian schools. Good ...

Re: How much does shooting matter to a school like MIT?
Tehran? How hard is it to get into the shooting sports over there? What competitive disciplines do they have over there? It's quite easily actually. My parents signed me up for a sports camp when I was 12. We had to choose three sports and cycled between them throughout the day. Like a fair, there ...

Re: How much does shooting matter to a school like MIT?
Re-read Will's reply: If you submit an essay resembling what you've written here, I doubt anybody will even notice the content beneath the weak composition. Stop it already with the, "I want. I want." What can you offer the MIT community? And it had better be more than some shooting score...
