All .38/.357 S&W Revolvers are 1/18 twist, the 52 was faster. The 148 hbwc shows evidence of tipping in 1/10, 1/14 and 1/18 twists, but it does not seen to affect grouping.

Kiwi, Some tipping seems to be endemic to the 148 gr. HBWC. As I stated before it does not affect grouping much. I have had rested ten shot groups under 1 1/2 " at 50 yards, that show evidence of tipping. Just shoot and don't be too concerned with tipping. Gort PS: Pick up a copy of Gil Hebard'...

I have shot close to 100,000 rounds of .38 wadcutter, all with WST powder. For 25 yards or less I load 2.1 gr. WST, for 50 yard it's 3.0 of WST. Great powder and great loads. I shoot Star and Hornady 148 HBWC, Federal Primers. As to the problem of skirt yaw, your S&W has a factory twist of 18 3/...

White rabbit, The bulged cases are normal in my cm22rf. It is from the feed transition in the top of the barrel hood, as per Morinin design. I think the right track for your failure to eject is the extractor or the mainspring tension screw.

I have shot the Pardini GT45 6” and STI Targetmaster 9mm 6” extensively. The are very different pistols. Pardini has a lot of grip rake and is a double stack (thick grip), STI has a 1911 single stack grip (thin and more vertical). Pardini has good coarse sights, STI has an Aristocrat rear sight, sup...

I agree that swaged bullets are more uniform and generally have superior dry lubes. Another quality swaged bullets have is there Brinell hardness is suited to the low pressure loads used in target guns. A formula that has proven it self to me in years of observation, 1422 x Brinell hardness = pressu...

The screw on my CM22-RF is a Torx with a 82 degree conical head, precluding the use of a washer. Proper torque of the screw will fix the problem. Morini should provide the torque spec for the screw.

Gehmann Pellet Trap for Pistol

I have a Gehmann pistol pellet trap, it has stopped approx. 14,000 pellets. The stop plate inside is dished about 6mm to 8mm deep from repeated impacts. My LP-10 and 162EI both chrono 480/490 fps. Has anyone else found this with the Gehmann traps?

Sounds like a broken slide stop pin or broken barrel link. If you still have the series 70 finger barrel bushing, a finger may of broken. (not uncommon)

The M41 with the 3 position sight is mounted flush and looks great, but it takes the rear scope mount hole out. The other, I mounted back to preserve the last hole and give me a longer sight radius. I think I like the further to the rear for the sight radius, but the looks of the other one.

UltraDot L/T

I am thinking of putting a red dot on one of my sport pistols, probably a MG2. I don't want to ruin the handling (balance) and was looking at the UltraDot L/T because it is so light. Anyone have experience with one?

The grips in the photo are Nill grips, the lower gun grip is with thumbrest, upper without. I am afraid I can't help with a disassembaly manual.

S&W M41 rear sight

The rear sight in S&W M41 HB barrels made in the last several years have a sight made by Keng. This sight has a Very shallow notch and is most difficult to see. I found a great solution, an Aristocrate rear sight. I machined the barrel extention to accept the sight and mounted. The notch is deep...

I could not agree with Houngan more, it took me far too many years to really truely do this. If I take my visual concentration from alingment to picture as the shot breaks, I will loose alingment precision , spoiling the shot. When I realized I was doing this and started letting sight picture be in ...
