First, to hit ten at 10m you need to get inside 9.5mm circle and not 8mm. Next, let's translate this value to 50m correctly - at 10m this shoots 5mm c-t-c which will be 25mm @ 50m plus 4.5mm = 30mm roughly. Not taking into account wind blows, bigger pellet dispersion at father distances, a ten at 50...

Guys, what do you think - is is worthwhile to train each day or not? Personally, I feel that each day training ( about 2 to 3 hours) doesn't make any big sense because you look always a bit weary and see shooting like a routine and not a pleasure. What do you think?

Thank you. I think the velocity fluctuation is related to regulator though. Also it's due to fouling of the bore. Once cleaned, it gives the most dispersion, then less and less. When subsequently flyers start to appear it shoots +/- 0.8 m/s which is quite not that bad. In the manual there's no word ...

Today was shooting from a bench on 25m - the groups are quite poor if compared to Steyr,e.g. About 10-12 mm edge to edge with different types of pellets incl. JSB, H&N Baracuda, Diana Rastatt, Daystate ... Interestingly, that on the 10m distance it shoots perfectly - a single hole of no more tha...

Muzzle velocity fluctuation in Anshcutz 8002

Have got a brand new 8002 a week ago. Yesterday measured its velocity with a chrono which had shown quite a big spread - up to 6 m/s in 10 shots. I rate it as too high as on my LG110 I have +/- 0.5 m/s on average.

Any thoughts why this could be?

Had Lg100, now have LG110. Both have same weak point in barrel fixing - I had POI shifting problems which were cured by glueing the barrel in the breech section and making it free floating. Also, I replaced original barrel as it was not satisfactory to me. Original Anschutz barrels are very bad and ...

I left yesterday the air cylinder unscrewed and today when started my shooting I have found that POI was not changed. Will be unscrewing anyway to preserve the rifle, but with a bit of understanding why POI changes. It's 99% sure that it doesn't relate to changes in shooting position as I have a sco...

thank you! I had only filling adapter with my 8002 Club version, but found AirRelease Valve in Anschutz catalog :) One more question about it. Should I screw air cylinder out if the next shooting will be say in 24 hours? I know that if do so, some wear on o-rings, spring in regulator will be elimina...

question about air cylinder use

In Anshutz 8002 user manual I read : 1. "We recommend to never empty compressed air cylinder completely." 2. "After appr. 20 refills of the compressed air cylinder it should be emptied completely in order to get rid of possible condensed water". What to believe : "Never"...
