I thought Diablo RGC was based at United Sportsmens Inc?
Are you talking about Bay Point between Pittsburg and Port Chicago? Didn't know there was a range there.

Re: Mid-Level 10m Air Pistol
You don't need to live near a beach to have access to a dive shop for scuba tank refills. There are dive shops located in places like S. Dakota, Montana, Arizona, New Mexico and Wyoming that cater to non-ocean diving. In the mid to late 90's, Colorado had the highest per-capita number of divers in ...

By california law, scuba tank must be inspected at the end of its expire date. The only places to do these service is scuba shop. Without the inspection, the will not fill it up. Technically not accurate. Scuba tanks require 2 inspections: An annual visual inspection, normally done by a dive shop (...

Re: FAS 6007: FTF due to weak hammer spring?
Making sure the bolt/slide is all the way forward should help you to rule out chamber drag as being your problem.
Fire your first shot, then physically push the action closed before each successive shot. If the fault remains, it's something other than a partially-chambered problem.

Re: Ban
California has had a complete ban on lead ammunition for hunting for the past 3 years (well, 3 years in July, anyway.) A recent report (within the last 6 months) has linked raptor deaths to lead poisoning, and called for a ban on lead hunting ammunition. Does anybody know if you can double-ban lead ...

Re: Who makes a nice pellet shaker box?
If you know someone who loads centerfire ammo and uses CCI primers, their packaging makes a handy impromptu pellet tray. You do have to load the "cells" by hand, but it keeps them organized on the bench.

Re: What makes a AP "kick"?
Would be interesting to do the math on this but I'd wager that while the acceleration starts the moment the pellet starts moving most of the movement happens after it is already out. Physics would get pretty involved, I think. Figure on the pellet accelerating from 0 to 500ish fps within the barrel...

Re: Who makes a nice pellet shaker box?
If you shoot firearms, the CCI primer trays (that the primers are shipped in) make a handy substitute. That said, I have maybe a half-dozen pellet boxes, all made by (as far as I can tell) the same manufacturer. Two work (I was going to say "work well", but that may be overstating things.)...

Re: Proper lubrication?
Over the years, I have used Pelgun oil, I'd be careful with that stuff. According to Crosman's MSDS, it's 30W motor oil (which, being a petroleum oil, will not play nice with normal Buna O-Rings.) Silicone oil (assuming it's a pure silicone oil) should be safe with most O-rings, as far as I know. I...

Re: Unfastening the very tightly screwed PCP Cylinder
I never fill my PCP cylinders fast enough for them to get beyond slightly warm, so that hadn't occurred to me. That's still not the whole story, because they do make petroleum based air compressor oil, which can run very hot. The cylinder temp lags behind the actual air-in-the-cylinder temp. For on...

Re: Unfastening the very tightly screwed PCP Cylinder
Dieseling is caused by the temp rise from the compression of the air in the chamber as the piston moves forward. It heats up enough to spontaneously ignite volatile hydrocarbons.
If anything, a PCP gun should get colder as it is shot due to cooling as the pressurized air is released.

Scuba connections in the US have 3 types: Yoke (which Canoe got), 200 Bar DIN (aka 5-thread DIN), or 300 Bar DIN (aka 7 thread DIN.) You can use a 300 Bar attachment in a 200 or 300 Bar cylinder valve without a problem; the 200 Bar connection will not work in a 300 Bar cylinder valve (it doesn't scr...

Re: Unfastening the very tightly screwed PCP Cylinder
If you do lube it make sure to use silicon grease or your problems may include degraded o rings. A piece of thin rubber counter matting often provides better grip and the cylinder removal is much easier. Most cylinders I've seen (which isn't all that many) have the sealing O-ring separate from the ...

Re: Lube for air cylinder ??
I read the article before about removing the cylinder between sessions and it makes sense to remove pressure from the system. However, Feinwerkbrau, states in its user manual that if the pistol is not to be used for a long period (4-6 weeks) the cylinder can (not should) be screwed off. It implies ...

"allows, in the terms of Kyudo, the arrow to find it's way to the target." Pardon me for being an incurable Occidental, but that is sheer nonsense! Is it? One of the more popular western sayings is that "He's so good at [insert activity here] that he can do it with his eyes closed&qu...

Re: Recommendations for Lubing Threads on a Morini PCP Cylinder
The threads that mount the tube to the gun do not contact any O-rings, so I doubt you need an O-ring safe lube for that. The O-ring is in the nipple recess that intrudes into the cylinder (on a Morini; don't know about other manufacturers.)
