Re: Super Lube Mystery Failure
The question is does the Feinwerkbrau grease (or any other proprietary grease) have a secret ingredient that makes it worth over 13 times the cost of nonproprietary grease. especially if you confine its use to cylinder treads? If you ever bought a Crosman BB or pellet gun, they recommend using Cros...

Re: Shipping PCP Air Pistols
Based upon the terribly confused language of PUB52 is would appear that they consider an air pistol a firearm for their purposes as well. From that publication: 431.6 Air Guns Air gun means a gun that fires a projectile by means of compressed air or other gas (including paintball and pellet guns). ...

Re: Hill Pump Questions
OP probably knows this; others may not: Scuba tanks are required (self-regulated, by the industry) to be visually inspected once a year (drained, opened and inspected for pitting and cracks.) In addition, they are federally mandated to be hydrostatically tested every 5 years (DOT reqm't for any cyli...

Re: Seen or used this chronometer?
I've chronoed my 162MI and FWB 65 with a Chrony (forget which model - Beta, perhaps?) Lighting is pretty picky with the small pellet, but it's doable.
I have the airgun trigger for my Labradar, but don't recall ever using it for air pistol.

Re: Looking for a high quality rotating angled eyepiece spotter
Late to the party. I have the Minox; I'd call the optical quality "OK to good". Certainly not great. It does not rotate (not a huge deal for me, as I largely shoot at the same venue.) The zoom is very stiff, and the focus is very sensitive (a little too fast for my liking.) It does come in...

I bought a seal kit from Nikkonos.
Pretty straightforward to install with a guide found online. There were some finicky bits during reassembly, but I don't remember what those were now.

Re: Problem with just received Toz 35m
Don't feel too bad. My new Toz-35M was unable to get the rear sight low enough for either a 25 or 50 yd zero. Had to shim the front sight insert with a double layer of brass material to get it there.

Re: Who shoots other disciplines?
Back in the 80's when I was on the upswing of bullseye shooting, I used to shoot some early IPSC type matches. I found it did a number on my accuracy in bullseye. The combat style matches were geared towards speed more than accuracy, and tended to blow the finer points of precision out the window. N...

Re: Toz 35 vs. Morini grip
Not a big deal after all, but must admit that I`m not impressed with the quality and fit. Of course I can´t tell, who is to blame....the grip or the frame. I was given a pre-carved factory grip by a friend who decided to go with some kind of aftermarket grip. That was handy, as my "spare parts...

Re: New tank and valve installation
Scuba tank? Sealing is done by a large O-ring. The ring should be very lightly lubed with silicone grease (just to keep friction from distorting it as it seats), and the valve hand-tightened. Place a wrench on the valve, and give that a tap with a mallet. Should be all you need.

Re: TOZ-35M Fore End screw pitch and all that
All the spares I have for my TOZ moving forward is a couple firing pins and a few springs. Hardware I can source/make but the firing pin is more work than I care to do, unless I program 50 and run them........ Post number 2 in this thread: http://targettalk.org/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=61701&p=2...

Re: Which JB Weld to use? Modify Lee adjustable charge
The disks look like they're made of polypropylene. Being a very low energy plastic, there isn't much that will actually form a good bond to it (there are a couple of specialized epoxies that will bond, but they generally require a flame pre-treatment which is not suitable for fine/detailed parts.) I...

Re: Shipping guns
Forgot to say that my shipping experience was only with long guns to and fro! Handguns have to go through FFL is what I have been told, so that is what I do. Depends on where it's going to. Federally, an end user may ship a handgun to the manufacturer, and the manufacturer can send it back the end ...

Re: Do you lovingly powder them?
I have not used coated bullets, but I'm not sure the thickness would make all that much of a difference. It is not particularly hard, so would conform to the rifling much in the same way as the lead does. Of course, if it's globbed on you'll have problems with chambering and the like, but "norm...

Re: Pardini SPE magazines vs newer SP
My 80's vintage magazines do not work in my SP Bullseye bought earlier this year. I do not remember exactly why at this time.
My old pistol is at Pardini, so I can't check the other way around at this time.
