Re: Use of PTFE sealant tape with CA
Thanks for the reply. I received a replacement cylinder the other day from Walther's service department, and that works perfectly. I will keep the PTFE tape in my range box though in case I ever need it. It does feel a little bit - how to put it - unsympathetic is probably a good word - to unscrew a...

Fitting of shooting glasses
Hi, I've been starting to look around for shooting glasses as I'm pretty sure that an iris would help with my ageing eyesight, and I wonder about the fit of these frames, especially as I might well be buying second-hand. Particularly, I notice that Knobloch glasses are available with different lengt...

Re: TAU 7 - its CO2 cylinders and options...
Thanks for the reply. The ones sold here - at least back then - were configured to fill from the bottle. I suppose the factory might have configured the final assembly according to the export territory. I don't think the disposable 12g CO2 bulbs were widely available here then. It sounds like the di...

TAU 7 - its CO2 cylinders and options...
Hi, A few years ago I gave my son who lives in the UK my TAU-7 CO2 pistol. It hasn't been used since then, mostly because whilst he was able to take the pistol on his flight, the 0,2 litre CO2 bottle wasn't allowed. I have a trip to the UK coming up fairly soon and I thought I'd take the CO2 bottle ...

Use of PTFE sealant tape with CA
This afternoon, while checking out various possible temporary solutions to my cylinder air leak problem (http://www.targettalk.org/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=47893), I found that whilst trying to introduce another O-ring between the cylinder and the body of the pistol didn't help at all, using plumbers...

Re: Hämmerli AP20 cylinder leak
Well, I decided to be brave and phone Walther directly. I spoke to a very helpful person there who has promised to send me a replacement cylinder. I didn't realise it before, but my cylinder also leaks when it is on the charging adapter, so the fault is definitely with the sealing of the cylinder. T...

Re: Hämmerli AP20 cylinder leak
Thanks again for the replies. I have already tried lubricating the O-ring with a smear of silicone grease, but I can't see a way to get the O-ring out, at least not without a sharp pin like hook of some sort, as it is so far down within the (very narrow) cylinder mounting. The grease only added soun...

Re: Hämmerli AP20 cylinder leak
Thanks very much for the reply. My pistol is actually almost unused, not actually new but as good as. Or at least it should be ;) The cylinder does not leak when unscrewed from the pistol. When it is screwed firmly on to the pistol, there is a noticeable leak - clearly audible, and I can actually fe...

Hämmerli AP20 cylinder leak
Hi, I recently bought a slightly used Hämmerli AP20. Now that I have had a chance to try it out, I notice that there is a significant air leak from between the body of the pistol and the cylinder when the cylinder is attached to the pistol. This gets better if I unscrew the cylinder a turn or so, to...
