Re: Training with different Pistols
"...your view certainly sounds more fun, so I guess it couldn't hurt,...." Two thoughts which may fall on deaf ears. 1. Long ago in a galaxy far away I was working with a defensive pistol instructor/coach. I told him that something felt much more comfortable than another. His reply; and I...

Re: Training with different Pistols
I’d shoot everything you can get your hands on. Keep top of mind that each shot is working towards perfecting marksmanship. For myself I really enjoy dragging out a service pistol with such as a P35 with an 8 pound gritty trigger. For me it focuses the mind to what I have refined on the perfect ligh...

Re: Problem with just received Toz 35m
Go to Pilkington. They have the procedure in simple enough to understand. The lever should not be loose. That means the the gun is cocked and ready to fire keeping pressure on the spring. It may take a bit of practice to get it right. Get a dummy round and put it in the chamber so you don't muck th...

Re: Problem with just received Toz 35m
Don't feel too bad. My new Toz-35M was unable to get the rear sight low enough for either a 25 or 50 yd zero. Had to shim the front sight insert with a double layer of brass material to get it there. The sights on this thing are a bloody fight. Not complaining but why is the build so much lower qua...

Re: Problem with just received Toz 35m
Ok- that is kicking in an assault on my collectors instinct again. Scrub a notch in my vintage sight blade on a Toz with a chainsaw file. Boy I need help.. Maybe I will have the barrel Ceracoated safety orange as a step 1 in the 12 point 'fussy gun owners intervention program'.. The first step is ad...

Re: Problem with just received Toz 35m
Grrrrrrrr. New gun day goes this way on occasion. So I bought this from an older gentleman who had bought the kit years back and put a new laminated Rink grip, the Toz-Balance forearm and little sight widget and never shot the gun. The gear was kitted in a pelican case and sat... And sat.. So the fo...

Problem with just received Toz 35m
Hello all, I just received the gun from FFL and I find it appears the action is charged and set trigger engaged but I have no function. The action lever swings freely and the set lever hits it stop with no effect while the trigger has a long pull with some spring tension but also no effect- stop hit...

Re: Is it just me or is this forum slowly dying ?
I believe I would say marksmanship as a (the..) specific meaning for firearms practice has been dying for a long time. I have maybe half a dozen younger people who are in nearby shops who are interested in 'guns'. Not one of them has any use for a .22 and marksmanship training. They ask me on occasi...

Re: WTB Adjustable Iris Like This One
I have one coming in with a pistol being shipped to me.
Brand new in case and I have no need for it.
This one:

If you can afford to wait a bit as I wait for the gun to arrive I will have this for sale.

Recoil spring removal for older Hamerlli 208 (picture heavy)
I have one of the older 208's and was at a loss to find information on how to remove the recoil spring from the frame. As a absolute last ditch effort to get to the bottom of this I decided to take a look at the manual which came with the pistol and found clear instruction: http://i1198.photobucket....

Re: Inconsistent groups
At what range?
Are you sandbaging or a clamped rest?
I have the same gun which groups 5/8” or so rested at the short line and holds that.
I assume it would do better than that in a Ransom
I am with the poster above- have someone else work with gun and see if the result is the same.

Re: .32 caliber, lead as opposed to jacketed, and Glocks
The route I took was to buy a match capable .22 and work with that till I am ready to bother with center fire (I am still on the .22) I bought a perfect Hi Standard Citation- boxed Hamden gun with the long barrel and two magazines for $700. Every once in a while I drag a police style center fire out...

Re: Affordable 10 meter match air rifles FWB 300s or similar
If you feel like going a bit more nostalgic, I have one of the pre (S) 300’s- fine rifle and also one hole groups all day long.
Mine is not for sale but I can recommend it if you come across one.

Re: Is there a load recomendation for .32 S&W long match gun
I know I know....
I was already whinging about the cost compared to my beloved .22
To shoot this much I will probably find myself on that perilous path to reloading the perfect .32
I picked up a couple hundred rounds- I will save the brass...lol

Is there a load recomendation for .32 S&W long match guns
Hello all, I have just received a Sako Triace and wish to purchase a small lot of commercial ammo to start working with the pistol. Is there a load recommendation for this and other match type pistols in .32? The barrel is ".32 S&W long Wadcutter. I am primarily interested in not battering ...
