Re: Isakov and Walther LP400

HAHAHA! Did you know Costa won a LP 400 from Walther?! It was a raffle between the 3 first places at national championships, and Costa was the lucky one! He quickly sold it... I tried to buy it, but I was too late! I miss the simplicity and construction of the Benelli Kite! The cylinder and pistol t...

Re: Walther LP 400 trigger weight issue.

I had similar problems, on my lp400 because the sear adjustment was very tiny (like 1/12 of a turn) . Then I adjusted the sear for a 1/8 of a turn and got better! also, Bauer Christian from walther told me: " Please make your searadjustment 1/6 turn back after releasing and please have a look a...

Re: Vertical strings on targets

It's really hard to keep focus on the front sight with the rear blade so closed and pointing just a hair line below the black... but each time I try to "give it some space" I feel lost, and it's real hard to keep the sight alignment! :/

David Levene wrote:Where are you aiming?

Vertical stringing is common when people have their aiming area too close to the bottom of the black.
thats exacly what is happening to me, but I like my sights really closed and in a good day a can make a 97 series ... ( thought my official scores are around 550).

Re: Front sight

from my personal experience, I can say: 1- In a normal light condition indoor range, you will not have enough light on the front sigth to see the white dot with defenition! Contrast with target will be the key to a sharp front sight. Oudoors things may change a bit! 2 - You will never have a sharp f...

There's a time when the shooter stops adapting the pistol to himself, and starts adapting himself to the pistol! I guess thas the first day of our new life...

I was going to say for you to use the 10 years voucher for the cylinder, but I think Walther should fix it for free! Porbably will take longer :(

Re: On sights design, inspired by SamEEE

what I meant was, I felt the LP10 sight were strange... just because I'm used to the LP400! I do think these guns should came with diferent blades instead of the "stupid" adjustments... that way I wouldn't spend so much time adjusting and a flat blade would allways feel better to me! ;) I ...

When I say applying force i dont mean rising the muzzle! Naturally when I apply a little more force the shape of my hand changes a bit and that makes the muzzle rise a bit. I still use my wrist locked!

therider,

seems to me you have the exacly same problem as I do! I believe the answer is in a little more firm grip, but my best result are always when my hand is very relaxed! :/

Re: Grip Force vs Grip Angle

( I don't consider myself a begginer, lol! I've been shooting AP for almost 3 years, but just on the last 6 months i've been working harder! ) My fingers are angled down! I exposed my problem to my coach and we told me to relax and let the muzzle point down. We tried to compensate with the grip adju...
