Re: stabilising wheelchair
I did get to learn more about what you're talking about. I have not yet started to modify my chair but will be soon. I heard of the things you show and another device in the making that stabilizes the chair by lifting it off the ground all together.

Re: Handling Hearing Loss (cross post disabled shooters)
I stand corrected, You are absolutely right. I met Ferrol and he is a very nice person who gives lots of info when asked. He used to be the national coach for the Dutch disabled shooters before he became an IPC Jury member. Albert Thanks. I wrote him an e-mail this evening. Let's see if he has any ...

First Match whoo whoo
Well I shot my first ever 10m air pistol match (or shooting competition period) on Saturday. I have only been training for about 2 months and got to attend a training camp all week at the OTC. I got an overall score of 328 (Paralympic SH1 women's pistol, 40 shots in 50 min) which I'm pretty proud of...

For most, the hearing loss is worse in the higher frequencies.[/quote] My hearing loss is from birth so it it's actually in the loss frequencies i.e. males voices. Since my parents did no...

Re: Handling Hearing Loss
I don't wear the hearing aids while shooting because even the sound level of air guns can damage hearing. Second you cannot just turn them down enough to hear announcements and not hear other things. Hearing everything, even in daily life is mentally exhausting because I lived most of my life not he...

Handling Hearing Loss (cross post disabled shooters)
I just got into para shooting recently but have had the honor of being able to train with coaches at the OTC and attending a training camp with Bob Foth this week. I have a spinal cord injury but the question that can't seem to be answered is how hearing loss can be handled. I have a moderate hearin...

Re: stabilising wheelchair
I'm not sure what they would be using to "stabilize" a wheelchair. I shoot in my everyday wheelchair. I use the brakes so it doesn't move. Otherwise IPC decitates how high the back of the chair can be and the depth of a sling back. There cannot be any hard contoured backs. Give me some mor...
