F coefficient for 10m air SCATT
i set the F coefficient on my SCATT to 70 (maybe its 7?) when i practice my 600yd prone for service rifle... is there a specific setting for 10m air rifle? ive never messed with the "advanced" settings so to speak and i just want to make sure its set right for my daughter's practice... pro...

Re: Experience with Anschutz 9015?
the cheekpiece (primarily) has only one post. one of the juniors my daughter shoots with got heavy handed and snapped the bolt that pinch tightens the stock around the post... he was able to put some tape around the post to maintain the height but there was nothing to keep it from rotating around sa...

Re: Experience with Anschutz 9015?
ive seen a couple of juniors shooting the '15 in the "one" stock...
id avoid that stock and go with the regular aluminum or precise every day of the week and twice on sunday...
just my opinion as a non shooter. my daughter will use her 8002 s2 wood for another season probably...

anschutz air rifles
the 9003 (now discontinued) was supposedly a smoother shooting (better "recoil dampening"?) than the 8002... the new 9015 is supposedly a better action and the basis for what's to be all of anschutz's forthcoming rifles (im PRETTY SURE this is what i read)... is there any plan on improving...

Warrior Range 1 rifle match on megalink
my daughter sent me a screenshot of the megalink live targets from "Warrior Range 1" match... looks like its all military... any idea what match this might be? or where it might be? these shooters certainly didnt seem to have the same skillset as those who shoot service rifle for the teams...

3PAR Distinguished Badge
how does the CMP award points towards this Badge?
i see some awards of 2 points, 3 points and 5 points. my daughter has 7 (a 5 pt and a 2 pt award)...
its ENTIRELY different than how they run the High Power Rifleman's Badge...
does it require 30 "leg" points as well?

Re: ISSF World Cup Prone - Clapping during Final Shots
im not a shooter but my daughter is... in the short time of her competing (since Sept 14) shes never made a "real" finals (i.e. top 8 shooters)... she shoots at Camp Perry Ohio (Air Rifle) pretty often and they have finals. one competitor actually turned around and announced to the spectat...

i believe i walked right behind you when you got DQ'd at the equipment check table... when my daughter and i were going through EC, we were behind 6-7 other shooters who all had some issue with their jackets. another junior's dad said he hadnt seen ANYONE pass tech in the 40 minutes he had been ther...

Re: pistol pellets v rifle pellets
If possible chrono the pellets out of her gun ... if >600fps they are not legal. If you have a rifle that is set for rifle at the high 570-580fps range, they probably are too zippy Note: I've never seen a rifle chrono'd at a match though. Joe Hein did some tuning on it last year at the Camp Perry O...

Re: pistol pellets v rifle pellets
If your daughter is nearing the end of the season, continue using what she has. Make no changes before big matches at season's end. ... The biggest reason to do this is not the difference in accuracy, but the shooter's mindset knowing they have the best for their rifle (no excuses about ammo). Cons...

pistol pellets v rifle pellets
i noticed that somehow i accidentally ordered pistol pellets (RWS R10) for my daughter who shoots air rifle... shes shot at LEAST a tin of them so far, maybe 1-1/2 of them before we noticed... theyve been shooting really well! shes shooting hi 570s decimal offhand AND integer 3P. is there a huge dif...

Re: adjustable aperture air rifle
Yes they are legal in ISSF. Kinda pointless though. Once you find what size you want, you don't really ever need to change it. Mine has been at 4.1 for like 4 years. I really like the Centra High End inserts. Matt well the daughter shoots NRA, CMP and ISSF ruled air rifle... id like to think that o...

Re: 8002 vs 9003
Matt... thanks... i know that anschutz sells the precise stock separately from either action (almost sprang for one until other expenses reared their ugly heads) but since there (were) both models available for some time, i was just curious... not sure what the "soft link" is but i guess s...
