Re: NEW SCATT MODEL???

I sent mine back and ordered a WS1 instead. The sensor needs a REALLY bright light on the target and the software is as basic as it can be. Also only Windows software. I asked Scatt about the advertised Mac and Linux software and they said they were still debugging the Windows version. Hard to recom...

Scatt calibration question

Hi

Scatt WS1 calibration shot, the system behaves as if the target centre is toward the upper left corner of the target frame. Obviously I could print a target with the black in this position, but am I missing something obvious? Can any Scatt experts shed any light on this?

Thanks for any advice.

Re: IZH 46M problem

Sounds like it's something to do with that strip of metal that links the breech to the cylinder. Maybe try taking it out?

Re: Which beginner pistol to practice with?

I can recommend the Gamo Compact, although I'm not sure how much it retails for in the US. The trigger's not great, but the grip and sights are excellent. I started with a P17 and I wouldn't recommend it at all. Lousy grip, sights and trigger. Good luck.

Re: Dry fire ?

I agree. My biggest problem has been target alignment distracting me from sight alignment, and I've found that the best way to deal with that is by alternating dry fire on a blank wall with dry fire on a target (ie. "right, now there's a target there: do the same thing as you were doing on the ...

Re: 10m air pistol advice

Thanks David. That's what I'm working on, just trying to ignore that movement and let it happen. Easier said than done sometimes, mind.

Re: 10m air pistol advice

Thanks guys. I don't THINK I'm letting my focus wander to the target (although it's difficult to say for certain). I think what's happening is that, with a blank wall, the arc of movement is happening but I'm not aware of it, so it isn't a problem. As soon as there's a target there, my brain's tryin...

10m air pistol advice

Hi

Very new to 10m air pistol - 3 months, IZH 48M - and I find I can hold the sights aligned fine against a blank wall, but as soon as there's a target there it all goes wrong.

Does anyone have any tips?

Thanks in advance.

Richard
