Re: Fill Steyr 3000 psi AP cylinder from 4500 psi air tank?
Greetings, A friend dropped off his 4500 PSI tank for me to use. It has a DIN fitting the same as my 3300 PSI tank and uses the adapter that comes with my Steyr Air Pistols. It does work; HOWEVER , you need to use CAUTION and fill the cylinder slowly. Be prepared to shut off the valve quickly. From ...

Re: END of Morini cylinder recall
Greetings,
A most fascinating read. Particularly the analysis report.
Got to start saving my money for a SEM.
By the way, Rover, it looks like someone spilled beer on the cylinder leading to the corrosion.
Cheers,
Dave

Greetings,
The primary concern regarding the repair of cylinders is liability.
Should a 3,000 PSI cylinder fail, and someone gets hurt, imagine the field day the lawyers would have.
Cheers,
Dave

Greetings,
To clarify, you say you are loading Speer 98 HBWC in a 32 ACP case?
If so, you are in uncharted territory.
Telephone PardiniUSA and ask them what they recommend for the 32 ACP.
Cheers,
Dave

Re: Non-aiming eye....current school of thought?
Greetings, The eyes tend to work in pairs. If one eye is blocked from the light it will dilate to compensate. The other eye will also dilate to keep up with the blocked eye. Result is eye strain with the shooting eye from receiving too much light. In summary, go with the translucent blinder. Cheers,...

Re: Hämmerli AP20 Pro - reliable?
Greetings, Steyr has good support. They have always replied to my e-mail questions. Let's say you buy a used one for 1000 EUR. You shoot it for a year or two and decide to sell it. There is a good chance you may ask 1000 EUR. So, in summary, it would be like shooting it for the cost of air and pelle...

Re: UNIQUE DES 69 sights
Greetings,
I had to replace the little ball in my rear sight. Fortunately, the little spring did not get lost.
If you need a spare ball, let me know and I will mail you one.
I purchased a bag of them as the Unique builders were quite fond on "clicks" on most all the screws.
Cheers,
Dave

Greetings,
The Pardini Rapid Fire model has a modified barrel chamber. Not as accurate at 50 yards as the SP or Bullseye models.

Dave

Grip Screw O-rings - DES32U and DES69U
Greetings, Underneath the DES32U grip screws are small O-rings. Mine are all squashed and difficult to measure. My best guess is that they are either 2mmx4mm (8mmOD). Or, 1.5mmx4mm (7mm OD). Does any one have some new ones and, if so, post the dimensions. O-rings are plentiful from my supplier. I ju...

Recoil Springs
Greetings, I have my DES32U up and running, sort of. I purchased a new recoil spring from Sportec and I do not feel it is strong enough to restrict the slide from hitting the take down piece. I put Dykem on the two parts and, sure enough, the marker dye goes away. I installed a spring designed for m...

Greetings,
My friend gave me a small packet of wall anchors.
They are plastic and are very close to the size of a 22lr cartridge. Especially the rim.
They feed from the magazine, as well.
Cheers,
Dave

Greetings,
There are two variations of the glue model that I know of.
It is best to remove the original barrel and reverse engineer it.

Re: pardini buffer (back shock absorber) replacement
Greetings, The ones I have replaced are shaped like a mushroom. I removed the grip, bolt, and barrel for access. Push the old one out with the end of a long allen wrench or other suitable tool from the rear of the frame. To get the new one in place, Super Glue it to the end of a long wood dowel. The...

Re: Are you .32 shooters playing with these?
Greetings,
The Speer bullets with the new dry lube shoot very clean.
The lube keeps the bullet from sticking in the swage die and after sizing, loading, and shooting, the barrel stays quite clean.
Several of us are shooting these modified bullets with excellent results.
Cheers,
Dave

G'Day deadeyedick, A randomly selected Speer Plinker is 0.545" overall length. My "bumped" bullet measures 0.580" overall. The dimension from the base to the shoulder measures 0.535". The "bumped" version has a dome on the nose end of the bullet with about a 0.040&...

Re: Are you .32 shooters playing with these?
Greetings, The current Speer "Plinkers" (98 HBWC) are generally less than 0.314" as received. They also appear to have been tumbled as the edges are rounded over and not sharp. Probably due to the lubrication process? The new lube is a thin dry compound and as a result they swage (bum...

Re: Pardini HP 32, ammo talk
Greetings, In the early days, about 4-5 years ago, the Hornady 60XTP were actually 0.312" I still have about 20 pieces remaining. Then, for some odd reason, they started making them 0.311"? Personally, I think it would be outstanding if Hornady made a special run sized 0.314" just for...
