Mystery Grip Identification

Greetings,

I have several sets of revolver grips to sell.

Sadly, I cannot determine who made them.

They are well made and intended for the ISU/ISSF CenterFire discipline.

Here are some images. Hopefully, someone can identify the manufacturer.

Cheers,

Dave

Greetings,

Good news!!!

Now, Rover is just on the other side of the mountains from me.

No more excuses for not visiting.

Re: Pardini SP 4th Round Jams

Greetings, The quest begins. McMaster list what chemicals the o-rings are compatible with. Since we deal with gun oil, Hoppe's solvent, and cleaning solutions many of the materials can be eliminated. The Durometer would be the next challenge. I have a Durometer tester; but, I cannot figure out how I...

Re: Pardini SP 4th Round Jams

Greetings,

True, the McMaster are listed as Inch o-rings.

I did convert the -004 o-ring to Metric values and they lined up.

0.070" cross section = 1.78mm

0.070" inside diameter = 1.78mm

A sample offering...

Re: Pardini SP 4th Round Jams

Greetings, Looking at McMaster-Carr website, I find several material options for a -004 O-Ring. It would be worth a trip to a specialty shop that "knows" O-Rings to determine at least the Durometer of one. Perhaps the O-Ring expert can identify the material, as well. Many times it is good ...

Re: Non SAAMI ammunition.

Greetings Rover, Well, you are correct, once again. The NRA rule book used to deny the use of "Magnum" ammunition; but, the most recent NRA book makes no mention of the word "Magnum". Next time I am squadded next to a brass thief, I will rethink the Magnum ammo issue. Many thanks...

Re: unique des 69 jam-o-matic fix?

Greetings, Sad news. I have had three DES/69's and they were the most reliable pistol. The magazine also acts as the ejector. Try borrowing a known working one from your range pals. Do cartridges drop in and fall out of the barrel when it is clean? The chambers on mine were on the 'generous' side. T...

Re: Walther GSP Expert - Broken Cocking Grip

Greetings,

Be aware that the little insert that takes up the slack in the bolt comes in several sizes.

This is the little piece that fits into the slot on the "Cocking Grip".

Re: Hornady 22LR Ammunition

Greetings, Compare the lot numbers. More precise, do they follow the same format? i.e. The way they print the numbers and characters? CCI has a standard they follow and with some deciphering you can distinguish the month, year, and shift of manufacture. Federal use a completely different format. Che...

Re: Solution For Tearing Target Holes / Tear Drops?

Greetings, This post has been most informative. I like the bit about using discarded Kruger targets for backers. Never thought of that! On a side note, I have been collecting all the Kruger targets from the Junior shooters. I turn them around and use them for testing ammo as the Kruger target cut su...

Re: Walther GSP 22 Recoil Spring

Greetings Leon,

Many thanks.

It is the same length as the 32 spring, only smaller wire diameter.

Just paid $20.00 USD for a 32 spring and figure I would be money ahead winding my own.

Again, many thanks!

Cheers,

Walther GSP 22 Recoil Spring

Greetings,

If anyone has a brand new, never compressed, recoil spring for the Walther GSP 22lr, I would like to know the overall "free length".

In mm, please.

Re: Pardini HP 32, ammo talk

Greetings, It costs money to 'Buy a score'. By the way, the cheap 32 ACP ammo they sell generally have bullets sized 0.308" - 0.311". They sort of rattle down a 0.314" diameter barrel. I tested some Fiocchi 73 grain round nose at 50 yards and 8 out of ten hit the 22" x 24" t...

Re: Pardini 32 Cal ?

Greetings, A barrel chambered for the 32 S&W would allow a 32 S&W Long cartridge to partially chamber. The bolt would be closed enough to allow the hammer to drop igniting the cartridge that is not fully chambered. Result? A lot of pieces of metal flying about. This is why Pardini have speci...

Re: Hammerli 280 Ultimate buyers Guide?

Greetings, Excellent question regarding the safety. The USA models have the safety in the grip. The lever goes through the frame and trigger housing. The European models have no safety. The European 280 pistols will not accept the USA safety. I cannot recall if the hole in the frame, trigger group, ...

Re: Hammerli 280 Ultimate buyers Guide?

Greetings,

There are no screws at the front of my 280.

Just two pins that mate to bushings in the receiver.

Simply push it off to remove.

I have never seen one with two screws at the muzzle. Is it possible someone "upgraded" it?

Re: Hammerli 280 Ultimate buyers Guide?

Greetings, Apparently there are three versions. Mine was purchased in 1990. To remove the top, you slacken off the screw in the magazine well and with the bolt forward, you push at the rear of the upper until it "pops" off. My pistol has two metal studs moulded into the upper near the muzz...

Re: Hammerli 280 Ultimate buyers Guide?

Greetings, There are two versions of the 280 I know of. The top end on the early ones merely snap on and off with finger pressure and are secured by one draw bolt accessed through the magazine well. The second design has an added screw at the muzzle to retain the upper. The screw inside the magazine...
