Two European free pistols in .44 Russian. Top is a Galand, unusual in that the underlever slides the barrel forward for loading. Bottom is a Belgian copy of a Stevens Lord.

Re: Stotzer Perfekt Target Pistol?
Typical example of the German free pistols from the first half of the last century. Here are two more from volume 3, Alte Scheibenwaffen. Volumes 1 and 2 describe German target rifles, volume 3 is pistols and zimmerstutzen parlor rifles, published by Tom Rowe. Not cheap, but the best (only?) English...

Vostok MU 2-3 Info Needed
I am considering purchase of a MU/MC 2-3 pistol as a collector, not shooter. I know that they were made in the early 1960s. Does anyone have documentation as to when the manufacture was discontinued? I am hoping it was prior to 1965 in order to transfer it on a C&R license. My TOZ-35 has some nu...

Help Identifying Vintage Free Pistol
I collect free pistols and consider myself quite knowledgeable in the field. This one, however, has me stumped. It has an overall 1920’s look, but with some features that make it difficult to date. The barrel is marked “H Scherping Hanover,” with German proofs. The lever in front of the trigger guar...

Green Electronic Trigger
In most free pistols, the goal of the electronic trigger is to provide a light, consistent, creep-free and safe pull. In the Green, the electronic trigger provided one additional feature. The shooter could adjust the balance of the pistol by sliding the barreled action and fire control group forward...

Green pistol
Congratulations. I have a Green owner's manual and will e-mail you a copy. I saw that the pistol was marked Swanwick. I believe that he was an Olympic shooter and coach of the US team at some time. To the best of my knowledge, there were three post-war US free pistols; I have a Green and a Tompkins ...

The lot consisting of the Green and a Hammerli model 10? went for $1800 + whatever buyer's premium Rock Island charges.

Franklin Green Free Pistol
The next Rock Island Auction auction has a Green pistol (lot #772). This is only the second I have ever seen offered for sale (I bought the other one). Does anyone have any idea how many Green or Electroarm pistols were made and what their reputation was at the time? This one is s/n 120, mine is s/n...

Hi, I just found this site and immediately joined. I no longer shoot, but am a collector of free pistols. One of my favorites is a Green (pre-Electroarm) pistol. I have had no luck researching the man or his guns, other than his Olympic career. Any information would be appreciated. I have a Tompkins...
